i dunno wtf's up w/ my mic! i've tried some of everything n nothing seems to work. i just got a Shure PG58 Vocal Microphone recorded once w/ it just fine then tried to record again and apparently according to what everyone's saying the latency is too high on my computer or i dont have enough RAM or something because whenever i record everything will be just fine until i play the recording back and it's like i'll be on beat perfectly but the playback is waaaay, like my vocals will be an entire second behind the beat. anyone know what's going on???

what kind of soundcard are you using?

truthfully i'm not even sure. i never bothered to even find out, it's w/e soundcard comes stock w/ an Inspiron B130 Dell laptop

get a new soundcard man... even a soundblaster anything would be better for you.

9 times out of 10 thats why your getting latency, because your card isnt made for recording.

Dude, maybe your just plain off beat. But if you think your not, then it's most probably your soundcard.

I did some research on your laptop..and dude, your laptop is the basic of the basic. It's for $499..I mean look what's said about it..

lmao at being off beat, been recording for about a year now n ive never been off beat
but yea, it's prob the comp but like i said, why would this problem only just now come up?

Anyway, it is your laptop. Maybe you could invest in an interface. EMU makes interfaces specially for laptops. You should look into it.

It might be a glitch in your program, I had the same problem when I used a bootlegged Acid Pro 5.0

I'd record on beat, but the vocals would offset and I'd have to realign them, try a different program.
