DTH, the reason newbies rarely beat vets is because newbies suck. thats why we have the distinction of "Newbies/Almost good/Good Vets/Legendary Vets" ... Because newbies suck almost all the time, and good vets are capable of writing well but not at the level of Legendary Vets. Hate to use Jay and Auto as an example, cuz they ARE both good, but since when is their best as good as spitacular's best? It's not. You have the perception that vets get rode because thats what you are inclined to believe.

Truth almost 100% of the time, but if a vet half-asses and writes the inferior verse, they will still usually win.
No, I have that perception cuz they do, I've seen it happen too many times on this site, and not just to me, to other battles I've observed.
