Using actual turntables will give you a much richer sound. If you can't afford turntables then just get some samples. Try re-installing napster, or download Limewire or Ares. Google it, I'm sure you'll get tons of sites for scratching samples.

vinyl samples have a unique sound. its not better or worse. its really preference. as for napster, call tech support. ive had to call them a couple times and they can usually fix the problem in a matter of minutes. im glad someone else realizes how sick napster is fo finding samples. my sample playlist is huge.

vinyl is dope, it can sound better than cd's depending on what you have to track it through.

honestly there is no HUGE difference tho.

my main shit with the vinyl vs. cd shit, besides the fqact that it sounds more rugged, is that, u can walk in salvation army, or goodwill, any thrift store, and find shit thats so old they wouldnt even bother to put it on cd....shit that nobody even knows about....not to mention its a fuckload cheaper....

^yup. obscurity is proably the main advantage of vinyl. I sample from anything... MP3, CD, Vinyl, DVD, Audio and Video Cassette... you have to keep your options open. I find samples everywhere all the time. I've even sampled off of Tivo.
