Shattered glass
Scattered on the carpet

Stains drenching in the fabric
Like hatred settled inside her

The Widow
Young and aspiring was
the maiden melody, only at
peace when she sang violently.
Tempting innocence to be
further niave as her hair
wrapped around each key.
Reaching tenderly, seductively
gaining favor as a performer
leaning forward provocatively;
though a virgin on the organ,
fainting on stage floors.
It wasn't what she became
it was the way she was born;
to birth songs set to make
the top charts she once hated.
Every score was orchestrated
for the sake of raising poor
kids into children who mourned
the listener's uneducated
ear's she sacrilegiously adorned.
Perverted words sung in scorn
orderd her to worship the organ,
tainting the stage floor.
She married a musician;
was wed at Hollywood
in the bed of rockstars,
pre-madona's, and actors.
Soon divorced fame to
take the name of her
first lover, as she played
for the orphans placed
around their proud mother.
A whore on the organ,
a saint on the stage floor.

Drama....your poem was pretty cool and I really likes the ending, the only thind was the rest of it was kind of plain and boring, story was ok, but it just didn't pull me in
Mindless...I really really liked your story, it was creative and your rhyme scheme was dope as hell....everything meshed together well and it was a beautiful piece

Drama Queen had some nice examples of rhyming, metaphor and imagery, but it was all over the place. Great ending, though.
MiNdLeSs had a simple but effective layout of theme and some intricate rhyming. A nice commentary on the topic.
