aight i tried to find some info bout this..but couldnt....
im bout to cop some midi cables off e-bay.....theres ones on here that are "MIDI to Joystick Port"....would it make any difference compared to "MIDI to USB" cables??? or would it do the same job??? im figuring a USB port would be faster...but i dunno...
what are you hooking the Midi Cables to?...be a lil more specific

you need to get a damn soundcard with midi on it. fucka $40 cable and below average sound quality. get a $5 regular midi cable and put the other 35 toward an 0404 card or somethin. that shit is a waste of money. i never realized how expensive it was.
it wouldn't matter...
qualtity wise it's like this...
midi to midi > midi to usb > midi to joystick... and at the end of the day... they all do the same thing... so asking what he needed it for it non-important. weither he said... he's hookin up a Roland X8... or a Mackie Control 8 or a shitty radio shack keyboard... doesn't matter.

it all depends on your soundcard that controls the midi. QUALITY isnt a factor. latency is the issue.
