If only you mortality was the gift
of photo finish. Forever I'd hold you.
Replay those birthday videos,
listen to you sing out of tune smiling.
Smile at my heart before I make my wish
and locked with in the candles flame;
See the swift flicker of a twinkling eye
before I take a breath that lasted the years.

Wasted so much breath on that wish,
a second once more you'd been mine.
God... God I Love You So Much... W-Why!?

Hit rewind on that VCR again.
Finger tip pushing a life's lie.
As if this one last view could
take us all back to the last wish.
I'd smile at that camera;
"I Want My Grandma" *Giggle*

Then there I'd live forever.
Sifting amongst the perfection of us,
sheltered from time by a camcorder.
Grandma, this place is for you.
This is my wish, I made it... Just for you.

I cant stand to see you hang on,
to clutch the end of the world
that was once so rightfully yours.

I see the fear in your eye;
quivering existence dance reality.
I see your despair all to well.
The picture just replays twice over
for every birthday relived.

But Grandma, we love you.
If you're to sink, let yourself fall
into the cotton hallows of our hearts.
Find you comfort in my chest.
Nest you aching soul upon my beating heart.

Grandma, I watch those birthday tapes
everyday to again see your smile.
Just now to realize my regretted wish
housed such more than guilt.
As I watched you giggle
when I blew out those crimson candles.

Watched your heart pace
from your chest and nestle in your eye.
Watched myself learn love
as our hearts connected.

Grandma I-i love you so much.
And my last wish is not for our yesterday,
but rather for your heart to rest once more.
For you to see I've found your home,
for once the perfect picture is ours.

This piece was really clear for me. This piece was a good visionary piece. i felt the concept, but the structure was'nt all that great.i like how you made a story line from it. i really felt this man. keep it up
