    Problems with the Rode NT1A Mic & M-Audio MobilePre USB

    I already asked opey on aim...he couldnt fix the problem...so maybe someone else knows, cause its annoying the shit out of me...

    Ok, whenever i record with my earphones on...I can hear my voice over the beat thats playing in my earphones...I never had that problem with my mxl mic...I tried turning down the gain on my preamp but that didnt work...cause i could still hear myself louder over the beat...Opey said its a way i can mute my voice so i dont hear it...and still able to record...but couldnt find the option to do it...so if anyone knows something i can do...plz help me out...i have alot of songs i need to record...

    thats how you do it. its not the mic. what program are you using? in your soundcard properties you can click mute.... and mute the mic.

    man i picked up a mobile pre a while back...it was ASS..but umm mess around in ur MobilePre control center...fuck around wit those options n what not n see what the issue is if not..hit up CS(cust. service)

    as far as i can find u can't do that with the mobile pre. the reason the mxl was quiet was because its not a very good mic.

    what program do you use ... cuz your basically just monitoring what you record ... in neundo there is a button that lets you monitor as you record if you don't want to hear that voice in the cans you can turn it off and record with just the beat ... so what program?

    yo opey, if i was to get the emu 0404 now, would i be able to mute it then? i cant really get the bluetube right now...

    chances are... yes... but your problem is simple... check 3 things...

    A. latency... I know it sounds weird but it fucks with CEP if it's to low... move it to 3 if you can...

    B. check input and output... make sure it isn't the same thing... mic input = speaker output...

    C. stop using CEP...
