    That's about $500 US.

    Rode NT1a Mic ($150 on eBay)
    E-mu 0404 Soundcard ($100)
    PreSonus DigiTUBE Preamp ($150 on eBay)
    Sony MDR-7506 Headphones ($100)

    Op is there anything good that you could get with just 300 dollars? cuz I need something thats basic but at the same time good enough to record music and release...Heat gave me a nice setup but the cost is steep and I'm gonna wait until I start workin overtime to purchase that one...and also...what computer would Dell computer would you reccomend me getting...cuz that will be the first thing that I get...

    a new mic will do next to nothing without a decent soundcard.

    $300 is minimal. If i had to recommend a setup to get by on a moderate budget and produce good quality track worthy of mixtapes etc. id go with something like this:

    Rode NT1a mic
    Emu 1820 Interface or Emu 0404 soundcard and Presonus DigiTube preamp
    Sony MDR-7506 Headphones for monitoring
    AKG K44 headphones for recording
    Nuendo, Cubase SX, Sonar Pro, or Pro Tools Free for recording/mixing
    WaveLab or Soundforge for premastering
    Waves Diamond Bundle

    Why you would recommend: Emu 0404 soundcard and Presonus DigiTube preamp

    Over

    Emu 1820 Interface

    Is beyond me.

    You could find the emu 1820 on ebay for 250.

    Not the Emu 1820m, which is the daddy mac, but just the 1820 you could.

    1820m = 400
    1820 = 300
