I hear "Master your music' a 1000 times on this site and I was wondering...how do you master? Is there a specific software or anything like that? Can someone post a tutorial or sumthing? Or show me a track that hasn't been mastered, and the same track mastered so i can hear the difference? HELP!!!

there's tutorials posted in the stickies... it's basically making sure all the eq levels for each and ever track are dialed in, making sure volume levels for each track are on, making sure the different tracks are mixed well... just the overall clean and polish job to make that shit shine...
um...its not something that u really can do unless u know whats up...
i wouldnt really even do it on my own shit
its not somethin u need to worry about unless u are putting something together for cd that will be duplicated/manufactured at a plant....
mixing is what u need to worry about at this point

Yea no doubt theres a big diff in making in all just sound good and mastering... If someone told you to master your shit... You should prolly check your levels..
Mastering is funny though.. you gotta know Exactly what you doin.. Its like assembling a big musically puzzle with no correct solution

Mastering is especially different since it varies so much from genre to genre

Mastering isn't easy... however it is music... you make what you want to make... it's not hard... there is no set pattern or equipment or way to do it... it is what it is.
