Demo for Record Label
is there any one on here who has sent a demo to a record lable. I always wonder how would i go about doing that. Cause im From tampa and aint shit really poping down here besides tom-g or what not. so i was wondering if i could send that shit to other lables.any info or share a story would do

just make sure ur shit aint boo boo. record labels look for someone who will put the time into producing quality, close to professional, work u kno. some people say "it dont gotta be all that cuz we aint pro u kno". wrong! u gota put forth the work and effort and try to impress them. i kno some people that arent all that but got signed. it just depends on what the label is lookin for. i bet u record labels dont wanna hear another random demo tape that sounds wack, believe it or not they listen to all of them.

find a lawyer, get a manager.
have THEM send it in.
most labels dont take unsolicited demos anymore....
best bet is an ent. lawyer that has connects.

look up a record label you wouldn't mind signing with on your computer, then look at their requirements for demos and follow the instructions.

i had a few homies that sent in a few in hope of fulfilling their dreams. they finished their demo n sent it to like 123234234 labels. they got theirs hopes up n stopped recording music and started slangin cuz they thought the demo was already good enough to bring them where they needed to be cuz "at least one of them is gonna sign us" turned out that they NONE responded back....but it also depends on who u send it to..

IMO sending demos to record co's is a major waste... If your gonna take the time to perfect it and make hella copies... Slang it locally to people who will actually appreciate it and take the time to listen....... Start there
