contradictions in RB slang.

all the contradictions in RB slang make it hard for the newbies to understand whats going on when they first come...

example the question "do you do text or topical?" would lead an unsuspecting newbie to believe that you carried out a topical somehow without using text...

or this phrase "I used to be a writer.. but now I'm a battler" could lead the newbie to believe that you don't write a battle verse... hmmm

anyone else see shit on RB that confuse newbies?

Merk has been said since 97 or earlier, where I live. It means kill. The suburbs start catching on to slang years late. By the time they have it, noone's saying it anymore. 99% of slang on RB hasn't been used where I live since the early to mid ninties.

I found this board and thought it was a time warp, with kids still saying "yo" and "hella" and "sun"(not son), and still discovering illmatic, ready to die, enter the 36 chambers and reasonable doubt, for the first time. It was crazy.

Faggotry is one of my better coinages! I have an entire scene out here using the term faggotry! I can get away with using wack on stage, but herb is for smoking or cooking, should not be mentioned in a music enviornment. I will forever use the term dope, fuck it I'm old school like that...
