great summer movie, effects were nasty, acting was good, & the lil girl, Dakota Fanning i think it is..is probably the scariest girl alive, just cause she's so convincing, but yea, fuck the haters, the book was awesome & spielberg did a dope job re-creating the movie...& yes, the ending DID make sense
so what are your thoughts on it?

movie was good, but tom shouldnt have gottin into the drug issue so heavily and the psychologists cuz people might boycott him
the book is a personal favorite of mine. It as SO before its time...
steve did a great job of using our current world situation into the film. JUST like they did in the 50s film. The cold war was big then, terrorizm and what not is big now... the metaphors fit very well... when tom was running away from the tripods first attack, and he came back covered with dust, he looked like a 9-11 guy... things like that are my fav part of the movies. Effects were great, alien designs were well done, everthing was done well...good job to steve
