its not that he finally put out shitty stuff. Its that i never even though he was that nice. Sure gangstarr has had some good stuff, but I always thought primo was holding that group up. Guru always sounds so bland to me, just lame. Technically hes not that great of a rapper in my opinion, Hes just sooooo average to me, in every single aspect, i Cant find a single one of gurus strengths other than having a dope producer.

You're right Guru was never no super MC but he is a solid mc. and Gangstarr as a whole has made great quality music. Sometimes a consistant string of good solid albums is better then one amazing and then 3 wack follow ups like so many rappers do.
I understand, but I do like one strength, that usually what gets me interested in an emcee. but i guess he was consistently decent before.
and i still hate him.

So Wasup, i'd say is the most average Guru track you'll ever hear..and is still d0pe. Though primo did give him that extra bit more d0peness.

Of course Guru is better with Primo, that's the whole novelty... They are an awesome group
But Guru is a consistent and good emcee by himself too, I think it's absurd to say he's wack just cos he's not rapping over Primo beats
He isn't that great lyricaly. I think he's a little above average. Primo does help a lot though. A lot actually. But since i dont have a solo album of his yet, i have no right to say wether he can do without primo or not.I still like him though, he's just hip-hop .

I have to disagree, Guru is a pretty good old school head,
not a fan but he gets my respect.
