First poem ive wrote in well ages!
Slowly, gradually the sun opens it’s luminous eyes
Exposing the evil, which exists throughout the night
Widening horizons, but there is still an eerie silence
Stealthily, souls awaken, blinded by the morning light
But with their sight, a horror emerges so gruesome,
A battlefield torn apart, blood and limbs just lie,
Some vomit, after witnessing the hellish contents on it
A sea of souls died in pain, and never got to say goodbye,
The captain in charge sighs, the cleanup job begins
So much death and half of his company has disappeared
Wasted breath, because tomorrow, there will be no sorrow
But for the families receiving the letter they always feared,
The sun has seared the flesh of the forgotten comrades
Any false hope of survival fades because this is their fate,
A burning extermination of the innocence that fought for us
But for now, the walking will be coming to heaven late.
