I. Business Description –

a) Name of new small business and philosophy statement.
Malaka’s Corner will be a fun and friendly atmosphere for adults located in and around the Rio Rancho, New Mexico area. The location will also serve as an onsite brewery and ouzery, so that we can provide the freshest selections in Mediterranean style beer and ouzo. Our top priorities will consist of customer service and product quality, everything about our business will revolve around these principles.
b) Describe services provided, hours of operation
Malaka’s will be a place for adults to get away from the stresses of their everyday lives by plummeting into various forms of entertainment. There will be a full bar, but our main sales pitch will be on our freshly brewed beer and freshly distilled ouzo. Due to the nature of the business we plan on remaining open from 5:00 pm until 2:00 am Monday through Saturday, also in order to remain in accordance with state regulations. We will also facilitate a separate area of our building to serve as a liquor store where the primary products will again be our fabulous beer and ouzo.

d) Market Research

The ouzo market is dominated by Greek exporters who supply their product from

Greece to America, the most prestigious of these is quite possibly Ouzo Barbayanni out

of Plomari, Greece. Although competition from different ouzo companies is feasible, it is more likely that we will encounter direct competition from local bars, breweries, and distilleries.
