i can't be the only one into kung-fu flicks. so i beg the question . . .
.. recently, i saw the Shogun Assassin on dvd - man, it's so siick n it becomes apparant why it was banned since 1983 from the outset. Even Quentin Tarantino used it as basis for the Kill Bill killings n he shows gratitude in the final scenes.
enter the dragon is also a classic, not just for the fighting but you can see the underlying pop at the western culture. it mainly focuses on the speed aspect of martial arts n Bruce Lee somes this up.
just for pure comedy i recommend shaolin invincible sticks. apparantly, this is RZA, from wu-tang,'s favourite movie n Tarantino found inspiration in Pai Mei's character from this. the dubbing is fuk'n ill, so off point but so funny.
.. annnnd i've heard that snake in monkey's shadow s'posed to be dOpe but iunno. was planning to order it anyway.
. . . so what're ya favourite martial arts films, if any .. !
