I just bought a new 8-channel mixer and hooked it up to my computer. Which software should i use to mix my vocals (I have Sonar Cakewalk, but I don't know how to use it) and how do I load the audio into the different channels? Thanks.

well u cant use a mixer to mix your vocals unless you're using outboard gear. u dont need a mixer to record on a computer.
LoL, what opey is saying is..
when u have an 8 track mixer that you are dumping onto the CPU with the master outs...(2 track) you are basically doing the "mixing" right there during recording...if you are not using more than 2 tracks at a time while recording...then ur wasting yoru time with the mixer..since u only have 2 track inputs (stereo left right) on the cpu.
if u had an 8 input interface for the cpu and then u had the mixer...than it makes sense...cause once u record whateve u record onto the cpu..u are now in the "mix" stage and can OUTPUT back to the mixer...use the mixer to "mix" and that gets recorded to a 2 track master.
confused yet?
