i want to start making beats and i downloaded fruity loops (the demo ) and my computer started going slow and stuff. so i want to get a new computer..(preferably a laptop) so whats a should i get ? im on a low budget tho. ($300) and whats better a laptop or a regular computer?
ur not gettin a laptop for $300. You can get a decent computer for that now, but you're not going to have a good soundcard, which u need if you're making beats. What kind of computer do u have now? processor speed? how much RAM? how big is the hard drive? u might be able to salvage parts from your old computer to save u money.
a opey 2.08 Ghz and 448 Mb of Ram.. is dat good? and does dat got anuthing to do with quality performance.. ayo seriously i need mad help with my audio, the quality is there but my mixing skillz N all is just str8 trash HELP ME!
thats enough power to run the audio programs smoothly. the quality is in the soundcard, mic, and preamp tho.
ok 1 last question.. should i use the soundcard my computer came with Sound Max Digital AUdio SOund Card or use the one i brought 32 Bit SOundCard 4 channel?
also can i use a amp that came outta a car?
it probably doesn't matter much. unless u by a pro soundcard it's not going to sound that good. u might get less static from the one u bought just because its not built into the motherboard right by the processor. onboard soundcards tend to get excessive noice that leaks from the vibration of the processor.Originally Posted by WizE 1

fuck da pc, just goto a bootlegg super flea market and copp a 50$ pc and spend da rest of the $ on mic,pre amp and shit and ur be good to go
opey..... wuts the name of the piece u need to hook ur radio up to the pc? could i hook my mic into the radio and hook the radio into pc for better rec. quality?

oh... to make beats yea u gon need a good pc.. i copped my pc from my gf job, it cost over a G$ but i pay 40$ a month.. goto rent a center and get one for like 20$ a week or just copp it str8 up..
