Just starting out, huh? If you want to get better, you need to study design. You won't get that much better by getting little tips here and there.
its not bad, but it's got one section colored black i don't know if it's intentional, but it's not too nice....................

The background isn't just a random picture. It's Princess Peache's castle.
I suggest you use borders. Since the main pics are two dimensional, I think the bg should be too. I'm also a bit confused on the stars, and why they are blacking out.
I do like the pictures and the font. Keep at it, you're more original than 400% of the other people here. At least you're not just putting a rappers face at the side and some "ghetto" scenery in the background. Damn shitheads think they're good, god, they are chicken shit.

The stars aren't blacking out--they're getting burned to a crisp by Bowser's flames, and Bowser's flames are being reflected by Mario starts. Kind of a 1-on-1 thing going on there.
It's not half bad, it's originality is what makes it stick out and i'm a fan of mario so I like it.

i got that the star was being burned. i didnt really notice that his flames are being reflected but if u say so ok. anyways not that i can do much better or anything its ok i like ur link 1 u had from before
