Get an ego that you are better than most people, getting other people to agree helps then since most people are below you, and the ones above you can beat you...you just live off your rep. Come 1 year later, still stand strong on your past. Takes notes from old heads on this. You dont have to be good just think you are.
When your rep is on the line, as will happen here is a good tactic to use.

After a while it get soo good you dont need skill...you can come as hard as possible, which is trash, and say it was 1/100 assed and you will still get votes.
Dont blame the dickriders for they are the key to it. Just always complain other people have them...but keep your close at hand. AIM is godlike for that. Dont ask your aim boys to vote for you, youd be going too fast. Because AIM is too personal, so you cant use ego. You let them see you get better, and help them out then when you need the vote just ask them to check it out. When you get gangster at it, you just link them without saying hi followed by saying "lol @ (insert opponent)'s verse...did you see the way he flipped (someone you both think are cool...each other included) line about (pick the one that will hurt you the most)"
One person told me that Emerge uses the 'Im better than you' shit. While this is true (merge is on my AIM list) he doesnt use the correct ways to back it up.
