I haven't downloaded music in months so i'm not sure what programs most people use and which ones are better than the others.

I was using Kazaa at one point, but i've heard now that it has quite a bit of spyware included in it. Someone suggested shareaza but after looking that up I've seen reviews saying it was actually a trojan. On the same note there were folks who hade rave reviews for it.

point blank, i want to download music without embedding diseases in my computer. Ultimately I don't want to deal with excessive ad shit and have to worry that my comp will run slower/freeze up.

what p2p program do you use and what comments do you have about it?

kazaa lite has no spyware but kazaa is dead anyway. To get whole albums and underground type music Soulseek is best. To get mainstream music, videos, porn, programs etc Limewire is the best right now. To get hard to find programs Ares is the best. To download movies Mirc is by far the best if you use the TMD (The Movie Depot) servers.
