    Rapper's Rapping, Rapper's Talking

I was in the shower singing (as I always do) and I realized that when I rap something my voice is a lot different than when I am talking. Can anyone else say the same?

Also, name any rapper's who sound different talking than rapping, or sound the same.

I know 50 sounds the same either way, at least to me. Andre 3000 and the Beastie Boys sound a lot different.

I beg to differ. Some rappers sound like they are just saying a poem over the beat. I can't think of some right now, but just you wait until tomorrow....

    Snoop

He just talks most of the time. But that's his style.

I was thinking that, I just didn't want to say it, because he just always sounds breathy...like he is on his last bits of air..

I freestyle a couple of times. I sound the same, I try to make my voice a bit deeper so I don't sound herbish though.

yeah as an example of talking and rapping the same Snoop comes to mind and as far as being different, Redman, Andre 3000, and lol Twista are prime examples, 1luv.

You're probably just used to listening to so much hip-hop you end up changing your voice to suit what alot of rappers sound like. It's a subliminal thing.

    Doesn't happen to me

the difference is when you're rhyming youre projecting your voice, like speaking from the diaphragm which generally gives a different sound than just talking in a normal tone.

Canibus, his talking voice sounds nothing like his Rapping voice.
