I've been reading design books, and it would be safe to say that they agree on the basic principles of good design.
Unity/proximity/pattern/etc.
Variety/Contrast/hierchy/etc.
Balance/proportion/scale/etc.
Space/negative space/closure/etc.
I believe I have a good knowledge by now of these, but sometimes in practice it gets complicated in applying them as they can contradict and be hard to manage. What more must I do to get a better grasp of these principles other than just blindingly practicing?
Also, for those of you who are beyond this aspect of design, what more is to it then this?
How can I elevate beyond this?
