post count doesnt matter a lot
as long as you have something like +500 posts. any less than that and your'e still a newbie
but if you're posing like 23 times a day or more, people will begin questioning whether you have a social life or not
but you can post once every 30 seconds/twice a minute so you could acheive 23 posts a day by spending under 2 hours a week on this site (in 2 hours, you could post 240 times)
so, it doesnt really mean much unless you got +500 posts
i dunno 700 is more of a basis at which people actually will read or listen to your stuff

I feel that post counts are relied on too heavily. Many high-posting members are hypocrites and if you have a low post count you are disregarded and called a n00b.
This also encourages freeposting, which is horrible and annoying. I only post on forums when I have something to say. Therefore, I have a low post count, but I figure quality>quantity is the best way to go. Many people with high post counts while only being registered for several months are either: A-Freeposters or B-People who have no social life. People who merely post "lol" annoy me to no end. These people add nothing to the topic and just waste our time. I figure that every post should have at least 100 characters in it. Any fewer and you are most likely wasting our time.
