Actually the east got the rap shit on lock. I dunno what the fuck is up with the south rap. East is where all the main rappas come from specially from NYC. Thats where you get most of ya lyrical niggas. Who wants to hear fuckin party songs all the time. In the south thats all rappas talk about. THEY ARE NOT LYRICAL

WHY THE FUCK DOES IT MATTER WHERE THEY'RE FROM?!?!?!?!?!?!
    REALLY.
IF I SAW SOME DOPE AS HELL RAPPER REPPING THE NORTH POLE AND I LIKED HIM I'D LISTEN TO HIM!!!
Bottomline: Why does it matter? If they're ill they're ill.

It DOESN'T matter where they are from

It's the fact that Bukkakae calls East Coast rap shit and "boring" but then goes on to say that the south is "more lyrical" and "more fun"

Not only are you being a fucking bigot doing the same thing against the east that we say against the south, but you are also WRONG. There are good rappers from the south, but the shitty ones are far more abundant. There is no way that the south as a whole is better than the east as a whole IN ANY WAY, especially lyrically.

^ The lines you quoted are some of the wackest eastcoast has to offer.

And the title of this thread is one of the most close minded ignorant things I've heard. How can you say NYC music sucks? Have you ever heard every rapper from NYC? I doubt it. Who were you listening to anyway? P. Diddy? Its ignorant shit like this that keeps Hiphop divided. And both sides are guilty, a bunch of people in the South just stay in their own little box listening to Juvenile and thinking 90% of everything else sucks and everyone in the East just stays in their own little box listening to Mos Def and thinking the same thing. And I dont mean everyone thinks like that, but most do. I listen to all types of rap. I listen to Eastcoast, Southside, Westcoast, Midwest (Kanye), hell, I even listen to some foreign rappers. Anyway, the point of my post is, if you dont like a certain type of music instead of obsessing over how much you think it sucks just dont listen to it. You might hate that kind of music but other people might love it. I'm from the South and I hate Crunk music, but I dont go around on boards posting how much Crunk music sucks. The bottomline is, if you dont like it, DONT LISTEN TO IT.

Number 1. Common is from Chicago
    Chicago= Mid West.

Number 2. Name One South rapper, that when He drops he is assured a Number 1 spot in the billboards. Lil John's last album hit the top because of the LAST single on his album. OutKast sacrificed their content and lyrical ability to blow up. Thats all I can think of... But every time Jay-Z drops a single, regardless of commercialized, gangsta, or love, it'll miraculously reach number 1. And Im looking at it from a Mainstream perspective or as the arguement has been looked at in the past through a money standpoint. South ain't running Shit.

Number 3. While reading your K Rhino lyrics, I was listening to The Roots "The Web"..I may be biased, but I know common sense that you can't write a book on a microscopic talet. He should write something that makes sense.

Number 4. I like South Music, I really do. But It's sad when some of the best talent that comes out of there is Usher. And yes, at parties I'll dance to South Tracks, not saying that I wouldn't. BUT just because one of your rappers finally learned to use lyrics with syllables and shit, doesn't mean we didn't do it first. K rhino= South Aesop Rock. So yeah, when they write something that makes sense and stop reading dictionaries for fun, then I might consider BOTH ( I don't like Aesop) of them Rap artists.

Number 5. You can't say South is more lyrical, when Most of the lyrical styles you get were from Up here. Early in his career, Scarface rapped like an East Coast rapper. Listen to a GZA album and now everyone down there wants to incorporate syllables and funny sounding words. Your sources are limited, especially since in the list you put had Juvenile, I definately know your sources are limited.

Get your facts straight before you start accusing shit. No matter how stand out of an artist the South will ever have, We probably had that type of talen a few years back. So let me write my own list

    Rakim
    Krs One
    Nas
    Az
    Cormega
    Jay-Z
    The Roots
    Mos Def
    Talib Kweli
    A Tribe Called Quest
    Lost Boyz
    Redman
    Methodman
    Gza
    Ghostface
    Biggie
    Big Punisher
Aesop Rock(Though I don't like him, Others do)
    Mobb Deep
    Consequence

    ^all above have dropped a classic(except Consequence)

Shit and you want me to start naming the artists we think of decent just to see who has the longer list?
    Hence Forward.. BURR!

Last time I checked most music was meant to be danced to..

Ever try dancing to one mic? lol..

Different beats for different things. There can be a beat for ranting or a beat for dancing.. They both can be good beats in their own rights.

Same with the music - don't compare.
