All I know how to do is open images off my computer & put all kinds of effects on em...How do I put other images into it & make them transperent & layer works n so forth...I know there's tutorials & shit around but they're wack..If any fella would drop some useful feed I'll be much appreciative..Pz..

Fuck around with it.
What I do is try and use something/use a filter or an icon.. see what it does.. then undo it and try summut else.
Also right click alot of stuff for added options.

Hmm, Fireworks i have, confuses me!!
Basically, just open up any image you want to use as your background. Open a 'new' file to be your canvas of sorts. Just drag your image over (if its jpeg it will just go, bmp or other, you may have to use the marquee tool) to the blank one, and just have it be the very background image at all times. whatever layer (this is the widow that have tabs that say “layer”, “paths”, “channels” : select layers)you have selected, the new image you put on your 'canvas' will go in front of it automaticlly. just keep these things in order. Cutting and pasting kind of works the same, just use the marquee or magic wand tool to select the part you want, and drag it over. as for transparencies, use "layers " (tab that says ‘normal) to have different effects (not filters) on your images. If you are talking about transparencies with banners, well that is a little more complex. Basically all you do is make sure you have true background(it says background next to it) layer visibility indicator off (or the eye) while it is (not the image you chose as your background, but the colour you were playing on) selected. Then file>save for web> (Right hand side) Select transparency, make sure it's saving under "gif" then hit "ok". save it. Make sure you make use of borders and all that. If it’s low quality makes sure you save it under “original” rather then optimized on the preview page.

Yeah that made a bit of sense man..Thanx for that..I figured out how to save the file as a Jpeg...Got the picture dragging down aswell..That magic wand thing is dope...I had a muck around with that layering shit but & couldn't seem to crack any effects with it ay...
