i need help!

ok now im really confused..... really really confused.... too many ppl are tellin me too many things to buy... so let me get this straight...

1) The best soundcard to get is Mbox right? Anyway it's kinda expensive coz my budget is $500, so if I don't get that, then what should I get?
2) When u guys say "mic", do u mean a regular PC mic or a mic they use in concerts lol? Anyway I'll get Rode NT1-A like the one Trip Marxx has.
3) Do I need an amplifier to make songs on a home PC(coz that's wht I want to do)? Oh and, what's an amplifier lol?

if you can get it omni 4 $230 den cop a RODE NT1-a, a AT3035, or a SP C1 depending on ur voice, try'em dey only $200 a piece. if not den cop a B-2 only $150.

The Rode NT1-A is more towards, shall I say....A STUDIO MIC! The only amplifier your going to need to record songs on your PC is a pre-amp for the mic. The Rode NT1-A requires phantom power in order to use it properly, and all soundcards/interfaces I listed are equipped with phantom power......

Like everyone else said, do more research. It's the only way you'll learn. I thought I've given ya enough info, but ya gotta do some checkin up on ya own kid.........
