How many animals have to live day by day? Survive day by day. As individuals or a collective.

Humans CAN be evil. They have more room to allow 'evil' (or corruption) to come into. And reside. And wreak havoc on others.

But anyways....

Ants fight each other. One colony will fight another when their territories overlap. The fighter ants will fight to protect their queen and their territory.

Humans have a slightly more complex queen in that we have developed complex cultural and religious belief structures. However, we still fight in much the same way to protect the territory that provides the food and resources which allow our societies to survive.

I don't see this^^^ type of worldy struggle as evil. It's just the reality that comes along with living on a limited amount of lands where resources are not spread equally and not natural population control exists.

What I see as human evil are the lower level vices, even though it could be percieved as another result of the survival instinct. Stealing, murder, rape, etc. on the individual level is evil. It is not necessary to survival in my opinion. (And I know these happen in the animal kingdom but in there cases it usually IS necessary for survival)

^Dunno if that last part was an answer to my question. If it was, let me clarify. My question was actually highlighting that the less the need for survival as such. The more disproportionately evil acts will be committed. That along with, as you said, the more complex nature of human beings and society.

you are all missing the point here What I am saying is we always have " evil" intentions. I rember when the Russian and the USA president ( Clinton i think it was) met and there was some talk over conspiracy about aliens and so on.. than the Russian president said " I wish there was aliens, than we could all unite on earth to fight them"... not exacly those words but something along the lines. Other examples are our countinual weapon production, I mean we could invest all that money into space exploration, enviroment support and so on.. instead we build weapons. This has been happening through out the history, as humans seem to need to kill.

Now all I am saying is we are evil. Bounce explained it well. Its OUR nature... nothing we can do to change that . I am just trying to state a fact.

The entire weasel family is noted for going on killing sprees and being quite bloodthirsty - army ants kill everything in their path - there are plenty of examples of other creatures besides humans causing death for no apparent purpose - we just happen to be the best at it...

You're saying "we" which is flawed - I've never killed anyone. The vast majority of humanity has never killed anyone. So I would say overall people can control their impulses to assault each other.
We claim to be "Inteligent" but yet our instincs are no different to that of an animal, only on a way larger scale.
Our intelligence does not come from the lack of basic instincts but rather from the ability to act in ways which do not conform only to those instincts. To have instincts does not make one unintelligent. There has never been a human born who does not have "animal" instincts - we are animals. However once again the vast majority of humanity acts in a fashion which is quite unique from the ways in which most animals act - thus demonstrating our intelligence.

So? The planet isn't destroyed. If humans did destroy the planet then I would agree that that showed remarkable stupidity - but merely having the ability to do so does not in my opinion.
