How to use Pitch

Any easy ways to use pitch in FL Studio with no midi keyboard... just laptop? (Besides drawing the pitch in... I wanna be able to push a button on my laptop keyboard that raises and lowers pitch)

yes... raise the pitch using the sample properties... wtf... how do you not know that..? OR... fucking use the pitch knob in sample properties... my lord... you've had fl how long..?

That's for using samples tho right? can easily change a pitch and keep it at that pitch. But I wanna change the pitch using my vsti's... Like what scott storch does with strings. I wanna do them while I'm coming up with something... I can't try to come up with something then say in my head... ooo that'll sound nice with a pitch shift right here... lemme draw that in. I gotta be messing with everything with my hands. (I know most vsti's have a pitch shift tool you use with your mouse... but that's gay)

if that's the case... then you need to get a keyboard... using the computer keyboard isn't going to cut it... that's just retarded. They're fuckin cheap man... shit.

I think I can help you now.. I use it with reason, but it may in fl too.. You would have to download virtual midi keyboard (free) and midi router, use it same way as you use keyboard in fl, you can change pitch with your mouse wheel in that vmk program

There's also a program called touch2midi that turns your laptop touchpad into a midi controller.

For some reason I cant make it work through savihost on my laptop... This thing should be pretty cool

Yea it's pretty cool. You can split the pad up into separate drum pads or midi faders. You might even be able to use it as a ribbon controller which is really fun for crazy fx automation.
