Re: Crew Battle: Engivale (AI) vs Cry (Scytso)
Don't Bring it Up
Emotions are drained, we've coped and abstained, And it's the people responsible we don't wanna blame, Noone's the same --- Everyone changes --- It's the people we hate most we pretend we're the same as... All of us silent and impossibly violent, We'd kill eachother if we got lost on an island, A copied assignment --- Breathe easy and keep quiet --- Retry it, tell us any story and we'd buy it.... The World is our Oyster, There's no other choice for People we just seem to be evil's kids in a toystore, If anyone speaks up they'll get beat up, It's hard to move properly when poverty's got your feet stuck, If anyone asks why we'll laugh at that guy, I'm smokin' weed because I know I won't succeed on my last try, Fuck life, let it pass by --- Don't question it --- Keep your mouth shut and pay attention to the lesson, kid... Don't talk about starvation, just start blazin', Watch a police car chase and sleep in your mom's basement, Forget the rainforest, The guns are aimed for us, So learn the fight song and start singin' the same chorus... Fuck the war on drugs, it's just a swarm of thugs, Put 'em in boxes and watch this tough form of love, To hell with the poor, leave 'em dead on the floor, They do the real work but never get respect for the chore... I could distinctly state the extinction rate, But animals are just another motherfucking thing we hate, Don't talk about government, just fall in love with it, It might not be the system you want but we're stuck with it... I don't give a fuckin' shit, I won't say a word, man, You wouldn't believe it even if you witnessed it firsthand, Until each of these words can actually change you, My habit is apathy because for you the same's true... I'm tired of askin' people to keep hidin' their passion, But then I smoke weed and get higher than snow skis in Aspen, My advice is if you're gonna do it try it twice, Hopefully we won't let nobody see what lies behind the mics... We're selfish both above and below the pelvis, And we tell kids to share and care how someone else is, Each paychecks like passin' go for the Average Joe, His back is breakin' but he's happy maintainin' the status quo... We don't challenge the whole thing --- We pick a side of it --- We hate society but the irony is we try to fit, Time to split --- But the relationship lingers --- Every moment I spend on it feels like the Earth's breakin' my fingers... We see how unfair it is for America's kids, What's foul in the minors becomes fair in the bigs... I don't care what it is --- Trust me, I've seen enough --- I know what the problem is but I'm damn sure not gonna bring it up...

The Wackness
By: Cry Quote:
It's been a... 'nother happily never, for dumb love lasting forever I took a part in this piece 'cause we were happy TOGETHER, and those laughing? whatever, you won't see me at all.. true belief is gone -- your love is the wind, so be leafs and fall.. release the faults, don't even ask me why I'm broke enough of this, the wonderin' if there's a plan-B I should know, ticking sands say time to go, but my hand was there to hold.. for standout situations.. you just can't prepare the bold, and my grandpa's scared to grow, he's old, and lucky to be alive.. but it's nothing for ME to die.. why do you think that we survive? most of you seemed to be suprised, so it's time you listen up.. or maybe that's the problem, shut 'The Book' and give a fuck, don't look to ritual love.. there's sacrifice in the process... one man takes a hit off life, then he hangs high in his closet, while the wife dies in her heart and.. starts back at square one, just to raise a momma's boy, now people laugh at their son! the wackness -- she comes... bringing rocks for the hard place.. God has a sense of humor, your first love? ...your first heartache. So... I hope I can detect those shoes we crossed our paths with, this walking has mine worn, movings almost drastic.. but soon it'll all be normal.. we choke on loss by habit just spending all our lives only focusing on the wackness. So partake.. switch it up, give in once and never back out, 'cause even in ballet the participants put the act down.. our innocence is intact now, passed to generations, parents only proud of teens when the plastic never takes 'em, the bastards seperate trust, so strung on honest blips and what it is we don't do just becomes accomplishments, but that's the novice shit... polished with a touch of hate, you do nothing, you are nothing; lost in a musk of pain, if God and his Son had brains, we'd all have followed now.. instead Moses talked to flames, while Noah almost drowned, Gahndi hollowed out, and Jesus got the cross.. Hitler gave him payback, which left people at a loss.. such equals at the cause, though purity's never found, is that the reason treason rules and you fear to be clever, clowns? they're making pretenders bow, sufferin's on the boost faze.. forcing you to pay up if the government's got a toothache. http://th00.deviantart.net/fs50/300W...ire_zombie.jpg We're all dressed up as life, while death has topped its blackest.. crowding on our relatives so we can't try to stop the masses, our love is lost to factions, the light is off by habit, the front tire's always flat and.. we're gliding on the back end, "complain, complain, complain.." -- the mind is turned on tragic with no button to stop it 'til we've lost it.. burn all passives!!! so you can only imagine, my surprise when I threw off my glasses, I thought it's suppose to be beautiful once you get through all The Wackness.

Re: Crew Battle: Engivale (AI) vs Cry (Scytso)
Engivale... Cool piece. I don't know if this was another of your priceless drunken rants or if you were sober and wanted to write lol. But either way dude. This came out pretty fucking sick. I really liked your wording. It came off as much of a Eminem lyricist could go lol. You had a lot of good points, a lot of good metaphores, a lot of good concepts. I loved the government line...really hit the spot man. Your rhymescheme was sick. I flowed through this entire piece without a problem. I like the idea of how we know what's wrong with everything. But we can't point it out. That's pretty fucking fresh. Original read. Keep it up dude.
Aaron... really dope storytell dude. This was creative as fuck. That third major stanza right before the picture was filled with fucking quotable after quotable dude. The Gandi line, the hitler/Jesus line, the the moses/noah line....all really fucking dope. I really liked how you ended this. Though the topic's similiarity to the concept of life / the world suppose to be beautiful and not really being what it's suppose to be. You took it in a really fresh way I think. The whole quote at the start did justice to open the piece up. And your piece kept on the same direction as the quote which a lot of people don't do. Great imagery in this piece dude. This was a really dope battle. Both guys wrote Hall of Fame pieces. Engivale had his Eminem flow going on and his mindful concepts. To where Cry had some really sick storytelling and a creative piece. It's hard as fuck to vote on this battle because I can't point out flaws in either piece really. But if I'm going to give my vote to anybody. It's a pubic hair over the line towards Cry's big toe. I'm a story fan. And that's exactly what he did. He told a great story. This battle could go either way though. Dope as fuck battle guys, keep it up. Vote / Cry

Re: Crew Battle: Engivale (AI) vs Cry (Scytso)
Eng - was well written piece, i think you stayed very consistant through out, but the only think you lacked were those places were the reader says WOW, all you need is a couple mixed with the topic and consistancy......you played it well, just seemed like you were dipping your feet in the verse instead of diving all the way in. lyricism was Great, liked the flow and schemes. nice write man
Cry - well written man, i was not digging the first part, was not bad any means, im just saying simply in comparison to the rest of you verse, some of the lines in this were almost profound, i liked the thought and challenges you posed thru the wackness..... if God and his Son had brains, we'd all have followed now.. instead Moses talked to flames, while Noah almost drowned, Gahndi hollowed out, and Jesus got the cross.. Hitler gave him payback, which left people at a loss.. thats was real nice, beyond that i think you hit the topic from alot of good angles and didnt lose anything inbetween, well paced write, lead up to good lines and had a nice flow for the most part, as an overall verse i think you Def took creativity and consistancy in this battle. this one of those peices that i wanted to keep reading. well done Vote Cry, off enjoyment and creativity. http://www.rapbattles.com/forum/show....html?t=413508
