wow... all the hype wasn't lived up to... i don't know if Comm thought he was actually going to go against the no show verse... but his shit just wasn't good... the 2 bars i quoted weren't all that great but they were considerably better than the rest of your verse...

hmmm, i dunno what the family emergency with Com was or if it really hindered his verse, but it didn't really seem like he came to potential here. I've definitely seen better from him. Bar, on the other hand, stepped his game up this week imo. All the lines bar the last 4 were at least decent, and the ones i quotes had good concepts and solid wording. Only problem is 'started from scratch' has been flipped a lot, and i have a feeling that line is a bit played. I also am pretty sure Commodore has been used before, because I was gonna use that w/p on D-Kom and ditched it for some reason. Still, I can't really be sure, and you executed it VERY well. The set-up was perfect, wordplay was smooth, a vast improvement. A properly thought-out bar, good shit. The wordplay on synonym was a little more awkward (sin on him is just an odd phrase), but it was fresh. Baby steps had some good swagger too, i've not seen it before. Liked it. Com's 'up on the phly' punch was nice. 'Up on the phly' has been flipped a few times, but this one was fresh and relevant and worked well. Crowbar was solid too, though a little awkward. Nothing serious though. The length of your lines was a bit too much a lot of the time, they went on and could have been cut down quite easily. Again, i've not seen you drop something like that before so perhaps this was a key, though you had all week so maybe not. Most of the rest was just a bit disappointing to me. You had some solid personal shots, but the concepts/execution made them kinda bland. I like those mixed in with more witty jabs, then they really hit hard. Anyway, i'd look forward to a rematch, maybe a good old rivalry
