You caught the virus; rotten skin and tiny red eyes
flickering back and forth like an FM dial.

You're trying to find a voice in the static
a rogue radio station screaming
through demons
searching for deep cuts

to mend
rather than plague-ridden fangmarks

trying to remember what golden flesh tastes to your lips
rather than the back of your throat

blood dripping from your jaw, twisted grin
so this is how the other half lives
without a care in the universe

Interesting piece. Is it finished? Seemed like it ended abruptly... or perhaps those last two lines could be separated to further the finality.

But yeah. Interesting piece. Made me wonder what prompted it.
