Wordz: whats up dude, hitting you up to get into your head real quick and see what you thinking going into the FL Champ match?
PG: Honestly, I'm laughing at the fact letterman gets to get so close to an achievement & fail once again. It gives me a reason to write for him, we have only battled once in the GG Finals and you know how that turned out, so if I'm better in less time imagine in more time?
Wordz: Are you planning to go full personal, metaphors, wordplay?? whats your game plan man?
PG: Never really have a gameplan, basically it's wether I'm focused or being lazy but things might get a little personal.
Wordz: You beat Knowp pretty easily without any issues, others have tried and failed but you made it look easy. Is this just a window for things to come or do you expect some opposition coming from Letterman?
PG:Before I took a break I got lazy, since I've been back I've taken less battles to keep more focus. Take into account I battled 60x in two months here at RB with all the tournies and events. As for KnowP my only down fall was I read his verse before posting & I apologize to the voters for that since they are the ones who suffered. Letterman yes he is better then knowp but it's still letterman aka cbjkd or w/e the fuck.
Wordz: Whats Lettermans weakness..?
PG: This could take awhile, he has many. His main weaknesses though are creativity & clutch, he's had many opportunities but always fell short, I wish him luck & hope the gods are on his side.

Letterman: It should be a good battle because we're both capable of dropping dope. I've been wanting to battle PG anyway.

Letterman: Well you know I kinda proclaimed myself as the Wordplay Wizard a while back, but I've been trying not to make wordplay the main aspect of my verses. So I'll try to bring a little of everything this battle.
Wordz: This is honestly the first time Ive seen you in a champ match since Ive been back, Do you feel like you HAVE to bring this one home or are we going to see Letterman let this one slip by?
Letterman: I'm really gonna try and capture this title, just for the validation. A lot of people like to bring up my lack of accomplishments but forget about the fact that I never really went after accomplishments on here.
Wordz: Whats packed graves weakness..?
Letterman: I don't think PG has a weakness, but at the same time, I know that he can be defeated. He's beaten me twice in GG but that's only because I'm not that great a keystyling.
Wordz: Any last words for your opponent before the battle?
Letterman: I gotta warn PG, don't sleep. He's been making comments about the battle and he's either overly confident or overly cocky. He better change that quick because I'm not the one to take lightly.

This had potential to be dope, actually. Your wording and route of execution killed it tho. This could have been a haymaker, IMO.
OVERALL: I'd have to say, both seem like they applied themselves here. So I don't want to see in the chat that either of you did not because it's bullshit. A pretty decent battle. I think Letterman's flaw is poor route's on his executions. I think his concepts are solid, but you gets lazy on properly executing them. I think if he were to spend a little more time and flip the concept a few times in more of a harsher manner, he'd be a solid battler. For an example, his closer. That shit could have been soooo dope, if he had flipped it differently, but he took the easy route and tried to keep it as basic and simple as possible. So to me, he sacrificed the potential of the concept for wording. PG's hit or miss. Sometimes he's on and some times he's off. Definitely not a consistent battler. In this verse, I'd say he was in between the lines here. He had some cool bars, nothing real dope but some solid concepts in which like I said about Letterman, he took the easy way out. Bar for bar due to consistency, I'd have to edge this shit too PG, because I felt his punches were just a tad bit better and his misses were better. He just seemed to be a little more consistent to me. Letterman's 1st 2 bars were terrible but picked it up and then towards the end kind of fell off again as oppose to PG's consistency, nothing too bad was dropped on his end. Overall, solid battle IMO but I'd say I give the edge to PG...

Decentbattle guys. I've got PG taking this with 7 quotes to 4 (PG had 2 jabs and Lett had 1 jab. So it could be 5-3 if I didn't include jabs). Letterman I think you have some solid material, but you lose momentum and get lazy while ur writing, u can tell. You know some of those lines aren't solid, and could have been at leasst reworded if not swopped for a different bar completely. You can't give any leniency in quality of ur punches when going up against someone of PG's caliber. Letterman's lack of focus is gonna cost him the dub here I believe. Good battle tho props to both.

Opener was cool, kinda bland but the personal made it. Liked the lion king personal wordplay. I thought manifold was nice but didn't like your set up. Dead lift greedy was cool but again I don't like the set up. Crack under pressure I wasn't feelin, odd ways concept was cool but this bar fell short for me. Wording fucked it up. Man ya raise was nice. Set up worked everything clicked. Box bar was wack for me... Maybe I'm missing something. Letter size had potential, wasn't working for me though. Your closer was nice.

Fresh spin on a dated reference. I typically shy away from deducting points for cliched references and concepts as long as they are flipped in a manner that appeals to me. This was a great way to use the "Young Simba" label to your advantage.

While I didn't find anything inherently wrong with the wording, structure, build and payoff, I have seen the concept and "Manifold" used before. What gave the bar a high score was the "tough axel" wp in the setup. It was a clever way to construct the concept without giving away the punchline.

This is my kind of bar. It utilized a soft personal and a current event. The "deadlift" wp fit well. It wasn't ab how groundbreaking it was though, it was more of how well it fit into the concept as a whole. Using " I ??? what's wrong with them" was probably one of my favorite parts of this bar bc it spoke to your personal frustration in a conversational tone.

I was on the fence regarding the setup and the crack under pressure idiom. The opener was choppy, specifically "40 wins nothing to show-that's sad fucko." With the idiom, I felt the concept you went with, more importantly the personal, required a much harder approach to make it work. I would of scored higher if that approach were implemented but with the idiom and simile coupled together as is, it just seems too generic.

Great personal. Capitalizing "Odd" really did the bar justice bc at first glance it took a minute to catch what you were saying. Didn't quite reach the 10 mark as I thought the simile, though well placed, was out of ordinary for you. I've seen you pull off concepts such as these without having to lean on similes and this is the 2nd you've used thus far. Just don't become too dependent on them. 1 or 2 a verse is fine, just not back to back.

Cool concept. Inventive wp with "Manta rays a threat". Nice continuation on the play. What hurt this bar was the excessive verbs. "Sleeping," "serving," "raising," and "swimming." I feel 10 lbs lighter reading all of that. It coule be considered a technical nuance or just a personal dislike but it was enough to have me focusing more on the actions and not on the delivery of the bar itself.

Solid, up-to-date reference. Pretty funny stuff. Wording in the setup could have been better. The comma placement kind of made the opener choppy when it didn't need to be there to begin with i.e. "made it to the big screen, off wack bars". I won't deduct points for this, though.

Liked the setup and the execution but the closer had wording issues that could be interpreted as a personal slight on my part. "when she still lies" should have been "when she lies still". That would of had a double meaning i.e. honesty and immobility to make it easier. The double meaning would have made the punchline more appealing and thought provoking. However, in the way that I read it, the closer just didn't benefit from the great setup. I would have scored this a 5/10 but I recognize my criticisms could be a bit too harsh.

I was going to deduct for "quake fear" as I initially felt you were trying to word "quake in fear" to correlate with the closing rhyme scheme but after taking a closer look I think it is fine the way it is.

I've been told in the past that using back to back bars focusing on the same concept is deleterious to the verse. I don't believe this to be true. This bar elaborated on the previous one and added extra emphasis. While it wasn't as lethal as the one preceding it, I still felt it connected.

The low score here is due to the context of the perwonal. While yes, you can say that "pizza/piece of me" concepts are too redundant to be taken seriously, I feel you countered it with a particular cliche that is probably just as redundant. This bar would of been a 2/10 but the way you executed it was pretty funny to me, so you get props on the attempt.

I rated this 3/10 bc I felt that since you used "wack bars" in the second line then you should have replaced the "wack" from "you're too wack" in the previous line with a descriptive word synonymous to the word "wack". I know that wasn't a huge concern as the "rampages" wp deserved the most attention. With that said, I'm fairly certain you already flipped a much better "ram" at the beginning of your verse. If I could choose between the 2 I would select your "ramshackle" opener easily. This was by far the only low point of your verse that I've found.

Well, I'm going to completely ignore the "wack verses" part of your setup as I feel I was already critical enough as it is in the aforementioned bar, lol. This bar was fun. The whole "you're making us look bad" theme was jokes to me. You used "just" twice in the closer and that was too prolix for a line you needed to be clean. But, you know what, it didn't leave you at too much of a disadvantage here.the best thing you ^^^
