..Is on PSN. I must say...Its pretty sweet. Its a rush. A must buy on day one. word dizzle.
yeah, i think its good
reminds me of the matrix when he gets chased by the agents at the end of the first one, if you pull all the jumps n shit off it feelts pretty sweet
I tried taking on four blues. I got pwned.
Its definatley not a shooting game.
lmao
I loved the demo
this is innovative enough to warrant a purchase, most def.
go out and buy Breakdown for the playstation...
that game was VERY under the radar but a classic....very trippy...and same first person perspective...
by the last few levels you'll be feeling like a god/dragon ball z character....
it's not a fps...
it's a fpe..
first person experience
shit is sickeningly impressive
The demo is sick. Dont know if it's worth $60, but it'a def. worth the rent.
It's dope, took me forever to find out how to get off the roof
Breakdown was not bad, it had some wtf!!???? moments but overrall pretty cool
This however....feels much more like a rush of adrenaline than anything else. The blur of the screen and everything else, breathing hard as you run. If I could feel the wind I would believe it was me doing that amazing shit.
that blur = ps3 not being able to render well at 60fps.
lol
not to rain on parades
No lol..the blur = the actual game effects.
I don't know which blur you guys are talking about, but the game has built in blur effects to mimick realistic experience. When I first saw a commerical for it, I was like Holy shit, that's fresh.
Kris ain't you ever moved so fast ur vision get all blurred? that's what it was.
this shit is nuts although i dunno if i prefer it this way or to actually see in 3rd person
i'm gonna wait to see what ppl say about the story n how long it is then i'll see if i wanna buy it
M.E
I will definitely be getting it comes out
NOV 13
I gotta play this the other day... It was pretty amazing... The only thing i didnt like was the controls was a tid off for me... Punching with R2? Wtf. Wheres the Square button when i need it! I died a few times mashing the square button and getting no results and being shot. I was like... Damn. Other then that i had no problems with this... Even when its doing the cartoonish intro it looks hella amazing.
Id get this if i had a PS3
^ If you have a 360, it's for that too
I am having second thoughts I hate first view mode
when it comes to fighting games or any kind of adventure
game..
Ninja Gaiden and Tomb Raider I love those type
of perspective..
this looks like the most ultimate game man, i seen it before and it looks insane.
no, cuz that shit isn't on the 360 demo. Which is running at 60fps. When you run fast it
beat the demo 2 times tonight
really dope ass game. Once you get the controls down, it feels like your actually free running.
I noticed the same issue comparing Devil May Cry 4 on 360 vs the PS3...
the PS3 has a motion blur to combat aliasing issues or some shit... its not major, but its not there on the 360.
regardless, the game is nuts. i thought it would be dumb at first, till i played the demo
so you would play the whole game first person?
i'm thinkin of renting it first now cus the loading screen with the red animation kinda makes me wanna play the game in 3rd person mode so you can see all the moves, which i think would be far more entertaining than experiencing it first person. i'm pretty sure you'd get bored after a while in that view.
anyone else find the wall jump control a lil basic and elementary? i mean you just press l1 r1 l1 runnin towards a wall but it doesn't feel like u have much control of what you're actually doing, u just press the combo n voila the screen moves so fast ur already on the ledge.
btw i've been playing this constantly tryna mess around the platforms n shit
i dunno if it'd get boring or not, i think for me that would depend on the story...
i have alot of fun just running through the stages... and it seems like a couple different ways to go on the stages too... should be interesting.
But if the story turns out to be predictable... ehh
also one thing i could see that could be bad is the combat... it could get quite repetitive
i just hope it ain't assasin's creed all over again

Maneuvering through the environments is so satisfying, a wonderful combination of problem solving and hand-eye coordination. Nailing jumps, wall runs, slides and rolls to maintain momentum is always a small pleasure, simply because of how badass the game's swinging camera and motion blur effects make your movements look and feel.
you obviously dont get what I'm saying about the "blur"...
I'm not denying that they used motion blur as a effect of "running fast"...
what I'm saying is it is going to be more prevalent in the ps3 copy...
I said that in devil may cry 4... there is a motion blur used ALOT when dante turns around in circles n shit... that is not there in the 360 version. Cuz the 360 version moves a bit faster than the ps3 version. I noticed it in alot more games on PS3 too. Some games on PS3 run in 30fps, while there 360 counterparts run at 60fps... adding a blur into the games can create a "softening" effect to beat back some of the frame stutter.
I can't say personally cuz I have not played it but all the gameplay vids I've seen of the first person..theres blur.
there is blur.
I'm not saying there isnt. lol. It's there. I played through the demo twice.
But I'm saying that there is probably more "non motion blur" in the PS3 version.
The PS3 has this whole "blur" thing going on with games, it's like a texture smoothing filter they use to cut down "jaggies", or to mask the framerate studder.
I'm just noting what I've noticed in games were i could directly compare the PS3 to the 360.
is it being picky?
yea...
but I play all the games in the higest possible resolution through HDMI... on high def sets. It's noticeable, thats the only reason i mention it.
It wont effect anyone playing the game through anything under a HDMI HD setup.
nope,u wrong
There's been a few discussions about this on the net n gaming forums
Both versions r virtualy identical i think tho
if you compare screenshots you'll notice each version (ps3 n 360) does differ slightly, some things in a ps3 shot looks better but then the exact same shot some things on 360 look better, its just the pro's n cons of each console
if you sit down n play it yourself i dont think you'd care much
wrd, cuz my eyes and logic have deceived me for no fucking reason
or maybe im just a 360 fan boy, even though i play both systems actively...
blah...
and @Hale...
i agree. Both systems have there pro's and cons. One has a stronger GPU, and the other has a stronger CPU. lol. So it's like give and take when you have cross platform games.
360 versions of games perform better than their PS3 cross-platform counterparts for the sole reason that the PS3 can handle more stress, but they don't want to miss out on the 360 market. So games are developed for the 360, then directly ported to the PS3, because you can't do it vice versa. That's why you'll have a 360 game rated an 8.5 and the exact same game on the PS3 is a 8.0 because it's so buggy.
Because developers are still learning how to use the PS3's hardware.
Actually developers have recently shifted to developing for the ps3 and then porting to the 360. EA has stated that in article somehwere that ps3 is now their main platform.
good to know
First person view is whack when fighting
I've been playing fighting games since I was
12 and you want to see the executions
bleh I will still get the game but view mode should
be optional that would make it a legendary game
like Gran Turismo which comes out soon :)
its only like 7 hours long it looks good and may be fun but i doubt it will be worth the 59.99+ tax
