Against the seas; surrounding the fortress abode
He counts bodies of his allies to bring forth slumber
Waking every morning to watch the night as code
Of the island’s law; He is labelled as another number
The Officers whip drums to alert the already dumb
But he lays, lays upon embers beaten and numb

He sits in a better environment but one embroiled
In inner violence, turfs segregated an internal apartheid
Spreading solace towards belligerent beings that beat
To the rhythm of invisible octaves & wash in the heat
Of the white sun gracing the white communities around
Cape Town; he watches the rain & droplets ground bound
Leather harnesses harness the black horses contained
In stabled cells; once known as men whom were detained
Officers rejoice and mock visitors point at the animals
There he sits alone, amidst the crowd of these cannibals

I have nothing to say as you have nothing to say
You are irremovable & dream something impossible
Though never threat i can promise hell from this day

Rustling leaves wither up his weathered soles
Abolished & banned, panned by social stooges
He toils at nights to lay awake & recite his goals
In the morn he bandages his hands, blood oozes
Tomorrow brings another tomorrow, writing away
Misbegotten to this sinful world, untainted he wakes
Sway the government violence was the last card in play
Now he sits recounting his deeds & revising mistakes
For he sees a light which shines true and bright
Maybe a better tomorrow will be born to this night

This was a pretty good and well put together piece, man. I liked how you just chose to portray life experiences of Nelson Mandela, even though you spelled Mandela wrong in the title, but all in all the concept idea just reminded me of a kind of piece that Brixton would write, and how he would write it though. I liked everything from the emotion, and the vocabulary, and it was a pretty good piece. Nothing that really touched me, but it was never the less awesome in the ethic of the default writing. Good job.

Nice om...i must say looks like you put alot into this drop...very difficult to write a peice like this...i know cause i have tried and failed badly lol...but none less this was very good...flow was right on...didnt fall much...stayed up though the whole drop...multies we're kinda weak..i dont know what it was but the rhyming and multies we're off at times..but maybe i'm not used to the way you write...very creative..not seen a drop like this on any forum...and i think this is deffintly worth hof..but im not gonna nominate it..cause i always get ignored...links in sig.

good piece.... this was interesting, you have a lot of knowledge about black histroy.. the vocabulary was pretty good, and the rhyme scheme was a poetic-type kind... made a well way for the emotion to come through, which definitely suceeded, the word usage was pretty nice as well... the piece flowed pretty well for poetic rhyme scheme.. the internal rhymes werent as good as some of your other pieces, but it didnt really effect the picece.... god job

This here was really nicely put pak but you always seem to amaze wit you lifelike writings mann i really enjoyed this piece and how your vocab could roll off my tongue and still make the piece sound as great as it did you have a gift mann in the near future i would love to see a book from you in stores onthe top sellers list or some shit you great imagery in this piece like always your struture never changes and you always seem to amaze the reader you stayed on topic the whole way through your breakdown was excellent to this piece and played a major role in my eyes you did this piece great as fuck i loved readin it

good intro, you had some good emotion just in those 4 lines, great emotion throughout, very nice rhyme scheme, although you did break the pattern a few times, i like the idea of biographically writing a poem, its an original idea and you made it into a great OM, you had nice imagery and fairly good details about the events that occured throught mandela's life, i like the message behind the poem,

"Tommorow will be better, I wish for the better day"

i like how you used that as a theme throughout, and it was good how you closed it with the outcome of all his work, seemed kind of like at the end of a 'based on a true story' movie where they show pictures and tells you what the people ended up doing after the story, i thought that was a good idea also

overall this was a great piece of work, keep it up

Sorry it took me so long to get to this pak.I've been a busy guy.This was a very good piece and I have to say I learned some new things from it.I love reading pieces that teach me more or that I would never have known happened or existed.I though your descriptive writing was very good and you explained everything so well.Your rhyme scheme ran along smoothly.All in all this was a ver good piece and well worth the read.Not only did I enjoy the read,but I learned something from it.Good Job
