I suppose 1st is better, but go easy on the text...
the first one is better....but text is kinda crazy....
The 1st one is better..looks more pro..
word@ go easy on the text.Ima tell em.
the first one is better, but the one im making will be the best.
and heres your logo.
fucka e7cryptic!!!
i like text on first one but i like the second one better
Everything in this thread sucks but the logo it's meh.
word @ see sic KINDA liking my work =)
both covers are garbage really...
the logo has potential.. would be better with a transparent bg and maybe a some thing else done to the text too..
I like the first one better. The text just takes a second of looking at it to get use to it. But that ones definatly the better of the two.
1st ones better.
do you actually make music or just mixtape covers?
He makes the music, someone made the covers. He wanted me to do it but i'm too fucking lazy.Quote:

Text is horrible on both...
^Word. And they look too "fake" if you know what I mean. I like the graphic on the 2nd one tho.
Maybe I will make you one Daz.
1 one i liked better
but 2nd one has more meaning
Real quick one, this is the actual size of a cd cover well I might be a pixel off it was either 342x342 or 343x343.

The 2nd one looks better.......the first looks too over done =/
What everybody else said, first one, but text got its own shit goin on, just take out something or use different font.
Both good, but 1st one's better.
That is nice..its just the font i don't like...Quote:

The first one to me is better. But would look sicker ewith the 2nd pic's back ground with out the light ning. Go east with text. Keep us posted.
thats just a really basic vector logo.Quote:

i told Daz i kept the PSD, and its on its own layer. i didnt find the need to make it transparent to display it on a website.
when he needs it colorized, and what not, it will be done, but for now. basicness.
and more basicness.
blending and shit going on. a bit different from the cityscape. i just hate skylines.
and its 500 x 500 because that is what its supposed to be.
the text, some will hate.
and the ligtning and shit in the back has yet to be added, but im mainly just posting this for Daz's benefit, so he can tell me if hes liking the outcome so far.
and yo. See Sic's album cover is dope.
he made it too small though. for real.
but its dope.
That's the actual size of a cover. What you made is too dark and also monotone which is a no no.Quote:

PS: Pixel dimensions doesn't mean anything. You have to follow inches to inches dimensions to get the correct size.
Syn's is very cool too excpet it's lacking contrast.
mine is set to 2.5 x 2.5 which roughly comes out to 500x500 pixels.
but word. imma work on it later.
I measured my CD's and it was 5in by 5in... It's probably 4.something to be acurate, though..
And make it 300dpi if you want it to print high quality...
Trying to do this on my old 486 with Windows 98 was a bitch.
I got a Dell, dude!!!
tha 2nd one
meh, its free album cover, so im not worried about it.Quote:

i tried that first and it was about 1000x1000 pixels.
shit was huge.
theres no way a cd is the size of my computer monitor =/.
and i got it set to like 200 dpi.
but word, updated with a few color adjustments.

What you see on the screen is 72dpi and high quality print is 300dpi... So 1000x1000 pixels is less than a third of that when it prints...
You can decrease the size to show on the web, which is what I do, but when you want high quality print, 1000 x 1000 pixels is nothing...
I know you dont' care about this album, but letting you know for future reference, my little graphicshopper.
I printed the one I made out fits perfect into a cd case.
That's the right size if you are printing with whatever dpi you got.Quote:

So measuring with pixel dimensions means nothing (in print) because it's relative to resolution...
but if you go with inches, it's absolute (in print)
Oh I gotcha yeah I set my dpi to 300.Quote:

this cover was done at like 200.
anyway, he's satisfied now.
and for the record, i really hate the chain.
he liked it and wanted it though =/.
