Hey just want to say to all the guys who are still participating congrats on this past weeks drops honestly I can't say anyone slacked. This was a proper round. As for he admin thanks for hosting a tourney with a nice twist thus far. These topical type battles really made sure no one came with prewritten stuff or bars from another person.. I think that's dope. Howeveci do hope in the next mag we are given info as to how many rounds are left due dates start dates and proper explanation on the topics. Hopefully we are drawing close to an end as idk how many more weeks I'll be super active. Regardless cheers to everyone so far. I have a big battle tomorrow hopefully I win other than that I may have to take a slight break in a couple weeks to focus on personal life goals.

3 bars in a week isn't easy for everyone, people who post regularly in the cyphers are generally people capable of writing quickly & have that writer's instinct where it just comes to you, especially so when it has to follow the last person's post or you get beat to the drop by someone else.Quote:

Recycling your own stuff and slightly changing it is ok, I'm a repeat offender myself, it's only detrimental if whoever's judging already knows it as it obviously reduces the impact. Plus nameflips aren't essential to use in a battle they're just a useful tool to create an angle or wordplay which applies to the opponent.

i’ve been kind of antagonistic toward the 3 bars a week concept & even the 1-2 a week cuz i write very fast & the leagues i used to compete in had mandatory 8 bar drops weekly unless participants agreed on shorter drops. so it’s been bothering me that people are no-showing or needing extensions for relatively short verses/ a single bar. but as i’ve been here, i can understand the need for shorter drops. most of us are older, have kids, jobs, family or health issues so dedicating time to something like writing rhymes for a rap forum doesn’t really seem all that important in the grand scheme.
i know i can’t reasonably expect everyone to be like me and whip out the notepad soon as they sit down to shit or eat or drive lmao. so due to that, i’ve been a lot more understanding. especially when i know that people drop fire when they do show up, and the break is sometimes needed.

also, thank yall for the feedback on my verse. i never thought of how much fun it would be to portray a different character in a battle. i got lucky cuz Daredevil is my favorite Marvel character so it was like a gift to fill Foggy’s shoes for a bit. i could get used to themed topics like this, like an entire tournament where you’re writing from the perspective of someone else.
