There were a few of us back then that were pretty consistent in dropping/battling, can't remember the name of the league that we had tho.. not to toot my own horn but i was a pretty decent league mod back in the day. @Emily if you wanted to go back and look at some of the best stuff from a decade ago Atti, Mindless, Laureate, Bloomquist, Gemeaux, Bruklor, Maven, were all fantastic writers. There were more back then but i'm old and dont remember anymore. Our league would easily have a 8-10 matches a week, lots of active heads. 2003-2006ish was the high point of this site. This site has died and been resuscitated numerous times and it's only because of the writers that it's still here. As long as people post, and people feed those posts so people post some more, this site (and PS) with roll along, however slowly that may be.

2008-2011 of so was good for poetry as well. Stuff was being dropped all the time. Tons of collborstions and league battles. I came to RB the first go around in 2005 or so, and quickly found myself growing as a writer. Taking writing class after my time on RB was helpful, obviously, but I was always grounded in the things I learned from the feedback. But a lot of great writers came out at that time. Baron and I have a piece in legends, and I think we were both voted in. A number of other guys and gals were killing it as well. 'Twas a good time.Quote:
