I know the one song, soooo I should probably listen to her more.

Word...she was an amazing artist. Her music was pure poetry over music. I'd encourage all you guys to go to youtube and thump through her greatest hits. And I'm positive you all have heard many songs from her, but probably just didn't know they were her songs.
Returning feed and shit today @Mr. Hardy @TheIllyricist
Sweet deal. Honestly forgot I had poetry in this forum.
Sounds good, Juk! All feed is very much appreciated.
Not gonna be able to feed tonight, but you 2 are on my list
I'll get to it soon
Don't worry about it man. I'm not that passionate about poetry lol.
I'll keep that in mind next time I'm feeding a piece of yours lol

@Jukon , are we still on a no link rule in pc?
Yeah
anyone need some feed to get some on my new piece ?
You don't have to feed mine, I'm gonna hit every new piece this week.
I'll hit yours Atti, I'll try to get it tomorrow.
@Jukon , is there a link rule for the month of march?
No link rule for March people.
But thanks so much to those who feed.
Without you, it'd be dead air.
@Emily
Are we not to bump our pieces for Blast from the Past and supposed to post them in the thread instead? My bad if I misunderstood, just wondering if you could clarify. Thanks.
Blast from the past doesn't need links. It's a thread that let's anyone, bump any piece, their own or someone else's, from any time frame. That's the thread we put those pieces in, the Blast from The Past thread : )
It gives them the opportunity to get some more views, or feed.
As for links in pc, we've taken them away for a while but obviously appreciate people feeding drops.
As for bumping pieces in pc, you can bump what you like, if you feel you'd like a piece to have another chance at feed,
feel free to bump it, but, bump it once only. Some bump to say thanks, bump again, bump for the hell of it, you get my drift.
So that's when we have to go in and clean it up and put take if off the top because that's an unfair advantage to all the other pieces.
Hope I've cleared it up for you idealizt.
Have a top day.
: )

so with this piece of information i gave you last night @idealizt , yeah, I think I was confused.
The piece stayed bumped. Sorry about the confusion. My fault. I think I was tired.
(I could tell from the 'unfair 'disadvantage' which should have been unfair 'advantage'.
But it's not. Just my scatter brain in the middle of the night.)
People in PC.
We all failed to nominate pieces in the two months before feb we thought were good.
I totally forgot, and I'm guessing others did too.
Because of that, we had great pieces that never got nom'd and never got the awards they deserved.
Let's not let it happen again.
If we read a piece we love, we've gotta nom it straight away before we forget.
I feel for those pieces : (
Word. Thanks for clearing that up, @Emily .
If we find people are taking advantage of the no link rule by dropping pieces and 'expecting feed', and 'receiving feed' on their drops,
but failing to 'return the favour' in the slightest, know that the no link rule shall be 'revoked'.

You're welcome idealizt
oops my bad >.<
Wow. Shout out to @TheIllyricist for that amazing feedback. Thank you very much. Will be returning the favor as I said here shortly.
Anytime! I'm always happy to feed.
@Goliath , please let me know if you received my pm yesterday regarding threads. You never acknowledged it.
@Jukon , I've got a feeling my new piece might be better suited for om.
It's hard at times working out what to put where.
But because its a bit rhymy lol, yeah, not sure.
There's a fine line between om and pc.
I sometimes cross it.
I mean, it's all poetry at the end of the day, even though some won't admit to writing poetry LOL.
Always cracks me up.
Lol, do you want me to move it? I think it's fine here
@Jukon @Emily
What are y'alls thoughts on merging PC into OM? I honestly can't think of a necessary reason to keep the two forums separated, especially with the current state of the forums. An "open mic" implies catering to all sorts of dialogue anyhow, whether it be rap, poetry, spoken word, prose, etc. What say you two?
Nah, the only stipulation I have for staying here is that the 2 stay separate

Not to discount your idea, but that's really the only thing I feel strongly about on this site
I wouldn't mind, but I know for a fact we'll lose some of the poets that come and go.
They wouldn't post in om because their pieces, the ones that are considered more poetry, you know what I mean,
just wouldn't get the feed in om, not the feed they deserve anyway. The om heads want hell bent rhyme, full of multi's and
what not, and then someone's gonna come along and talk about a tree, lol, and he'll either get shot down or get no feed.
Its a shame but that's the way it is, I've noticed it with quite a few pieces here.
There was a tree
It was green
Very like the color
Of grass
Yes,
the tree.

Can I get a HOF nom for that?
yeah, try getting away with that in om. lol
good luck.
For a poet's mag, I'd love to do a section where I pick old poems; like those of early 1900s and back further than that. I'm thinking of selecting Charles Baudelaire (French Poet). Give us a little synopsis of who he is, then show a selected poem and I will analyze it. I feel as poets, we should remember those that came before us and read their works and learn from them. This isn't the ONLY thing I'd like to do for this mag, but that's one idea from me! Call it the "Poetic Professor" or "Professor Poetics" section lol
This sounds good. But we might hold off for a week or two. Jukon's away on business for a bit. And I don't want to be overloaded.
So we'll get the om mag done, and then focus on the pc mag. Nice idea though, something different. We'll do an interest thread in here and put who does what in it, and then we'll be ready for take off.
Suhweeeettt. Sounds good!
What's good people
