Nah, this has always been my primary name. My main years active were 2004-2011, on and off. Multiple time LLL champ with quite a few defenses, beat most of the who’s who from the golden era, multiple LLL HOF battles. At my peak even Feeble Minded really wasn’t fucking with me.Quote:

Well 2024 isn't all that far away, so if you give it a few months I'll check your stuff out. I already have a couple of people in mind for the Class Of 2024. As long as I'm here I'll work to get everybody who has earned it and put in time on RB to make it what it is into the HOF. You have to keep in mind the last HOF inductee text battle-wise before the Class Of 2023 was God Of War. So you can imagine how many years of talent has been left unaccounted for. At least a decade. Are you Greedy? I don't think he was in it yet, and he's one of the guys I'm considering. I also take into account how active somebody is. If it's somebody from like 10 years ago who doesn't battle anymore or even comes back to the site, I'm not excited about putting them in right away. There's a chance most people don't even care about shit like that anymore. So I'm trying to get the people that are still here, who have a rich history with the site.

I also popped back up in 2016 and beat Barcotic in a 30 line pic battle, en route to narrowly losing to Letterman in the champ match. I feel my verse was better but the votes are the votes. Tied 3-3 in a battle with GOW and lost 6-3 in a razor close battle to Resin M-I-C, who’s one of the best text battlers of all-time across any site in my opinion.
And For Battling retired from text a couple weeks ago. He came to a gentleman's understanding with the rest of the site that he will no longer battle in leagues or tournaments, but will stick around to help with voting and to coach new talent. He likes to joke around but he has done alot for the site in terms of no-showing and trolling, so it's okay that we fuck around with him but you have to remember that without him the site would probably be booming with activity and we have to respect that.

Yeah. We had two LLLs. Sacred Scriptures. Intricate Emotions. 1-2 Punch and the Audio Battle League. Plus FL had battles closing within 24-48 hours. You could get 2-3 pages of feedback in open mic. Social media ruined it all lol.

I'm surprised Lay isn't already in HOF. I always thought he was.
And yes, Kyle & Spit were the gold standard on RB in terms of early-mid 2000's text battles (Spit remains my favorite text battler, here.)... I literally go back and read their battles from time to time because I believe RB's text was at its absolute best during that era - bar none.
One thing I noticed when I do searches is that I can only pull up 10 pages. Is that by design? Or did RB lose alot of archive stuff in the past? When you're doing research and can only get a sample pool of 10 pages per user, it's hard to check on older material. I end up having to sift through Closed Battles forums instead of using the Advanced Search because the Closed Battles forums have Battles that I can't find using the search engine.
A lot happened when they started Rap Is Alive and then a lot happened again when certain admins got pissed off and tried deleting shit. It also doesn't help that strobe has always been a ghost and he owns the site lol.

Yeah right now the Class Of 2024 is Greedy, Lay Doubt, Fresh, KnowP, and Galactic. That's 5 and I plan to add 10 total like this year. There's other guys I have to check in on because there's generational gaps in the HOF, I have to go back and check out people that I wasn't around for, during early years and 2010s. I didn't know King was already in it until he mentioned it to me, that was one of them I was looking at. Then there are those who didn't necessarily have tons of medals or great W/L records but contributed in other meaningful ways to improving the overall state of RB. Another fun fact. I listened to Drake for the first time ever this Summer. I downloaded all of his albums on Apple Music. Then started listening to his first album so I could get a feel for what his music was like. After I listened to that album I deleted all of his albums that I downloaded. And that was my complete Drake experience.
