Depends on situation. I'd ask for a 24hrs ext. it's up to your opponent to grant it or not. If they've posted their verse and your late they can take the no show win or give you some time

Okay, so on Saturday I asked Plata for a 24 hr. extension, and he agreed and set the deadline to post for 11:59 last night. I noticed that he didn't post his verses until 3 hrs after the deadline. Definitely don't want to be trivial and all, but truth is I could have used those extra few hours to refine what I had written.
