Nah I live in Miami I was giving y'all a taste of what it's been like everyday last week till today. It's Miami music week since ultra music fest was happening. Shitttt might have well been in South America all these foreign hoes
KS's first two bars are a prime example of why I hate the style of text battle on here. Useless lines. They offered nothing, but it's not a knock on Killing as it is the stupid ass wordplay over content format that is used here.
As gay of a gay as Aker is, his last bar shows what battle bars are supposed to be. Tiny bit of wordplay but packed with an insult done in a clever way.
Just to spice up the convo... ;)
Not fully agree. It really depends on type of the battle (live or online) and personal preferences of an emcee (some like harsh battle stuff, some prefer good lyrics).
In live rap battles where the crowd impression is very important, I agree, the insulting/battle stuff with easy to understand jokes and clear punchlines are key winning factor + confidence.
In online battles, where people can read the text over and over or listen to the song many times, emcees can get more sophisticated. They should work on combination of things: rhymes, ideas, delivery, etc.
For example, in our audio events we judge contests by our system (that became classic already): 5/5/2.
0 to 5 - Vocal performance (flow, delivery, etc)
0 to 5 - Song writing skills (rhymes, metaphors, etc)
0 to 2 - Overall impression, how well everything is put together.
Some emcees win with punchlines, insulting lyrics and dope rhymes, some crush their opponents with sophisticated lyrics about love and similar.
Word..
...Its what text has become.
Rather then, insult, belittle, smash your opponent.
@Toretto can open mine and Sajiros battle for votes
