I have one bar written, in case anyone was wondering

And I'm still not voting on reg battles over 20 lines. Or champ matches over 40

Shits not necessary, use that time to perfect n tweak ur best lines n drop or pm to mod. Then cypher or get FL back going u wanna write more.

Or maybe we should have a lightning round for LLL???? @Blue Bayou

Thats so ass backwards to me...This should be considered a war of attrition, not who can craft 6 measily bars better then someone elses 6 measily bars

Everyone legit has it twisted, it's not about perfection of your "best 16", it's about proving how great and consistent you can be when you're forced to write max and then some and you're pushed to your limit....that's a champion, who can come through in the war of having to push through, who can keep that consistency....and it's not shown the respect it deserves

Champ matches all used to be 30 plus week after week in the day bcuz BARS

I don't agree. Not entirely anyway. Battles of different lengths force you to bring different strengths. Consistency is more of a factor in long battles, haymakers are more of a factor in short ones. A champion is someone who is able to do well at both IMO.

I was. And I'm taking into consideration the voters and their time. U got a 60 line battle to vote on its gonna take a while, where as u coulda voted on 2 or 3 other battles in that same time frame. Only time it should be like 30 line verses is champ matches with 2 dope ass writers where every line hits. I'd rather read 12 nice lines than 30 lines that's hit n miss. That's just me tho, I see where ur coming from tho.

And I dont think doing a LLL lightning round would disrespect sharp n spree, broke is the one that came up with it iirc.

In regards to LR, I'm not starting it half way through the season, don't have the time to commit to it and I'd rather be honest then do it poorly

If one of the other mods want to take it on that's their perogative... Regardless of who came up with it I still think it's a bit of a slap in the face to Spree

I know you guys want to hardcore geek out, but reading a 20+ line verse... then another... then trying to make a fair vote is exhausting.

Most of the time battles are either hella one sided or super close. In both cases, the process of doing that is just a PITA.

I would much more enjoy both dudes posting less bars that they wrote and creating a doper reading experience. I think most voters feel this way.

I'm happy to read 20 if the battle is good. No problem.

But getting through like SIXTY LINES and then still having to remember the first few bars to vote fair? It's all about the writer's ego at that point.

yea i kinda agree. I think they should be 20+ but heavily weighted towards 20 even, and only going more if the match up warrants it.
