Nina Simone is another fav or mine, but Billie's voice on this recording is what I was going for here. It's well known that she was slammed while recording this, and I meant to show reference to the pain I wrote about in the verse. The voice is haunting, not too mention it's obvious that she is high as a kite on this track. I love billie for what here voice reveals and the pain she leaks into the track. Dope that you actually like Nina and this kind of music man, much respect. I wrote this to help give soem of these kids a peek into soemthing they might otherwise never get. This was a very well writ piece, the creativity oozed from evey metaphorical line that was written. I liked the piece and it had trademark Bounce all over it, from the language to the image to the layout. I liked how it flowed as well as sometimes the words can become tangled when you write a topical. Overall, this was writ very well, as good as your last one which i think, if i can remember correctly, was the one about the war and the skulls image was used

Dude, you've done it for me. You can comment back all you like but this is honestly your best written topical piece I have read by you. You fucking killed it here.. coming back to the hook at the end was perfect. As at the beginning, it made no sense, as I didn't know much about BH, but as it all came togther, it just screamed dope at me. Sometimes I won't leave feed on your pieces, as I read it, and just let other people do the talking. But for a piece like this, I need to vent the recognition here dude. Lol, I can't believe how engrossed I was.. its very rare for me to like a piece on RB this much. Your rhyming was on point, and you gave an acute timeline of BH's life that was just interesting to read. Juts made me want to read on.. even references to the Poseidon etc was mint. Congrat's mate.. you said you wouldn't be able to top past writtens.. but you just did. Props, Bounce.

I appreciate your thoughts on this peice and yes, it's a stark contrast to the other peices I rush to drop for tournies or SS. I have always said my tournie or SS drops are haphazzardly rush since I have very little time to write for RB deadlines. My best writting comes from spur of the moment insperation and not rushed topicals and such.

I was having some basil haydens (bourbon) and listening to some good jazz vocalists with the proper mood lighting and party favors, when I decided to write this. No pressure no rush no nothing other than me free writing. My RB verses are seriously behind the stuff I write for other mediums, that is for sure... Glad you liked it, I jsut thought the kids here should be exposed to some good music and given soemthing different to chew on.

This is probally one of my favorite pieces from you. When I come into your threads, I often expect to read a bunch of responces from little kids hyping the shit out of you simply because of your status on Rb, when the piece sometimes isn't up to your own standard. Well, this time they've got it right man, great piece. One of the more creative flows I've seen you use, and it resulted in a seamless stretch of transitionless fluency. The content itself was deeply poetic, and this piece really let your roots in poetry shine through. Lines like,

'I script bruised fruit! Some fell from the trees
as others hung from the noose. I'm painting that strange fruit
portrait of a Holiday, a heroine bulls-eyed on opiates cut loose
on dart-boards over-used,'

Beautiful, brilliant in every aspect. I loved the piece man, glad to see you posting more Om's against after not seeing anything really for a good month or so.

It's very evident that you wern't rushing here, You always drop dope, but this was something else man... You nailed every aspect of the piece, it almost seemed to be wrote in prose to me, I completely loved the poetic feel, yet with that pumped up rhyme scheme, origional, unique, Every time i read something of yours i want to critisise something, and only one have i EVER gotwhat iw as looking for lol... But this was another one i could not put down, as it was just so well thought out and every line was placed so stratigically to build the story and deliver your message through the metas and imagery, some of your imagery is sooo damn dark and i love it lol... It's good to see you being able to write freely and at will instead of rushing. I can also tell you didn't seem drunk in this rhyme lol... It was just so written, this is definately my favorite piece i;ve read from you, and as you know i've read alot of your work. Well done mate, you really our did yourself this time man.

After a few weeks of getting feed and what not, I will be nominating this for Legends. It's HoF just wouldn't do this justice man.
