I do and Caustic is probably my favourite.. He's ended many careers and has also had better battles with 24 hours notice than a lot of other cats do with weeks or months of preparation.
Immaculate, Bender, Rone, Nils w/ Skills are dope as well.

Re: How Many People Here Actually Watch Battle Rap?........
i don't watch battle rap..
the shit is wack as FUCK nowadays....
i used to be a huge battle rap fan back int he days of Juice, Supernat, Percee P,Eminem before the fame, Canibus before the fame as well....back when they would throw Scribble Jam every year and shit...
back then it was way better...with a DJ involved, and beats to spit on...
nowadays it's just like angry spoken word...
don't like it much at all...

Re: How Many People Here Actually Watch Battle Rap?........
it takes practice lol.
one of the things that helped me was to memorize my lyrics and cut down on big ass syllable words lol, syllable cramming they call it.
simple lyrics, easier to remember word!

Depends on the beat. Cutting down syllables isn't always the answer dude. Syllable chopping is strictly good for breath control. Riding a beat is a natural thing. Some people have it - some do not.

BTW; Dia is off beat in that slow ass beat as well lol...
Not sure if it's just natural for me or what but not sure how or why people struggle to ride a beat LOL...
It's not rocket science.

i can freestyle over a beat and ride it nice and smooth. It's writing lyrics that are decent and then riding the beat to the lyrics I write that I have difficulty with

I am not off beat.
lets hear your audios.
maybe some flow problems that linger, but it's definitely on beat.
you can tell I wrote to that beat to, instead of using random lyrics.
this beat was provided, I wanted to use the same beat with third party picking it.
I don't think I ever heard this before the battle.

syllables should match the beat, if theres to many syllables for that bar section, it's time to cut, or transition it to the next bar. I don't do to many transition lines but most big name rappers do.

Freestyle your lyrics.
What I use to do was freestyle, write - recite - freestyle, write recite.
I found it reciting my verse over and over helped a lot - came time to record I memorized the shit and that was that.
My audios are ancient man. I was doing audios before audios became a thing,
@Dia
.
And yes you did fall off beat a couple of times. Nothing major but there were a couple of instances where you fell off.
And I've posted a few on here, search bar will guide you.

I don't land directly on the beat in some parts I come in before/after the beat, there are more than one way to catch a beat. if I'm coming in after the beat, I'm usually taking a breath before that.
all in all to that particular version I should have mixed the vocals so they set on top of the beat more so the vocals wasn't buried in the back.
people tell me I sound like jayz lol. ( voice wise )
if I'm off just here and there that's fucking sick compared to where I started years ago tbh.
I done audio since 2002 but I didn't really know what I was doing, shit I just recorded accappella and slapped a random beat onnit lmao.
