Simply a comment that I posted late at night way after him...for a rhyme fit.
If you really think that's playing off his punch man, that seems kinda harsh to me.
It was a nameplay punch using the band's debut album for a quick brag. Relating to his name and my birth-year, NOT playing on his punch. That's my point.
I'm not contesting the vote at all, just explaining a bit.

That’s a good question and I think it comes down to knowing your audience. There’s a specific style that every site tends to follow individually that will generally get you at least consistency. Most of my wins don’t come from me writing overall better shit but rather from consistency. Say you have 8 mehh lines with one amazing line but the other guy has 10 ok lines, he’ll probably take the W even without line of the battle. Text is also very different from writing a song, doing audio, or a live battle. Live battle is usually more of a long bar or shit with no fixed rhythm which doesn’t translate well in RB and NC battles. There are some forums that loved it floating around but this ain’t it. The knowing your crowd part comes into play when you know who’s voting. If I have a lot of NC dudes voting, my style of writing will usually be shorter bars with grimy sounding wording. They’re corny so they like when dudes talk like gangsters. RBs general style to me from my point of view is a bit more playful or less focused on shit like gun bars. This has kind of mixed up over the years and we’ve always jumped into each others sites. Quickest way I think for you to improve is to pick a dope battler or a few that you like or see that is successful and study how they write. Personally I think people like J Hens, Tettris, Orc and Bar (when he’s not being emotional) are great examples as they’re pretty consistent no matter where they go.

Taking the W doesn’t always mean they came up with anything good/better than you. Your flow is choppy and sporadic which makes your bars hard to read. The fact you keep sprinkling adlibs or random thoughts in your lines doesn’t enhance your bars at all.
