No I don't think we should. Unless you're somebody like R!canTheoryz who uses several redundant Smog nameplays in one verse, gets told that they're played and should probably stop doing that, then battles Smog again and goes on to use several redundant Smog nameplays.

We need to be more open-minded and accepting of the here and now. Not what happened back in the day when everybody wasn't garbage. These idiots today have no idea how terrible they are. All of you make me sick.

I try to be but sometimes I just be speaking facts man. I got all kinds of facts that ppl should know about. Them shits is plentiful. I always look for the variant. If I don't see anything particularly new about it, I still give it a chance and base my opinion on if it elicited any kind of reaction from me. Was it dope? If not then was it funny? Was it doper and funnier than what I've already seen, or at least different enough to hold its own with the other versions of the flip? If so. It's all good with me.

Text has evolved. Fresh air, Big Mac, miracle, soul, simplistic nps without any witty flip is wack regardless of it’s played or not. It applies to all names. The bar is way higher. reading battles from 2000s is like watching soccer games of the 70s

There are some people from years ago that can come back and just immediately jump right back into it. Blue Bayou, Dominate, Barcotic. There's some people who never left and are still at the top of their game. Baron Mynd, Zelph. But there's also people who carried the torch when all the older names dipped. Art, miracle, Fresh, Smog, Kill Spree, Allen Knight, Ryno. Older heads who come back with the "well back when I was relevant" mentality seem more focused on reminding people of their past glories than mingling with the newer guys. We need to stop all that.
