Breaking bad was great. I started to resent Walter more n more after every season. Jesse was my fav
Jesse was also my favorite. I love how they casually switched spots through the show. Walter starts as a teacher trying to make enough money for his family to thrive when he dies to a drug kingpin that doesn't give a shit about anything but what he's built. Jesse who starts out as a meth dealing loser to a broken man seeking redemption.
The chi started off good got lame
Oh shit. Atlanta belongs in top five too. I knew my list felt off.
It admittedly does start off a bit dull and is a slow burn. But when shit pops off then shit pops off.
SOA was cool but it gets a bit comical and farfetched at points. Shootouts that last forever in broad daylight with no police involvement. And I didn’t care for the season where they went overseas to Ireland.
I will say the scene where Opie got merked is one of the roughest parts of any show I’ve seen.
As far as top five crime/drama shows for me, in no order it’s:
The Sopranos
Breaking Bad
The Wire
Ozark
Succession
Honorable mention to Dexter and Suits, but they fall off pretty hard starting in season 6 with Colin Hanks and season 8 when Mike leaves, respectively.
I like shows that know when to mail it in and wrap shit up, which I feel Ozark and Successuon are particularly good examples of.
I used to think the show was based on Mongols (the area I live in has a large group of them) but apparently it's loosely based on both Hells Angels and the Shakespeare play, Hamlet. Charlie Hunnams character is inspired by a young biker he met who wore sneakers instead of boots and no chaps. Ended up dying not long after they met. The realism of the show definitely gets lost in the last season or two but I thoroughly enjoy most of it.
I also hated the way Jax went out in the end. Felt it was corny and bullshit.
It was meant to be full circle / Hamlet shit. I was 50/50 on it. Liked it from a poetic standing. Hated it because he went from killing everyone to suicide.
Huh, I loved it.
The Rotten Tomatoes score for each season in order is 70%, 76%, 98%, and 85%.
So season three was definitely the best one, and 4 is better than the first two. It’s definitely worth sticking with imo.

Exactly. It felt off brand and out of character for him.
I'll definitely give it another go.
White Lotus could potentially crack my top 5 at some point, if it continues at this level of quality. Season 2 was super dope.
