Sometimes I’ll wonder to myself why it never kept going with the newer generations, and had the torch be passed. Too many other forms of social media and tech now? No attention spans? Message boards just an outdated thing in general?
At some point, kids stopped discovering this realm and/or being drawn to it as an outlet. Mind fuck sometimes.
In my perspective, it always felt like everything that could be said had already been said in one way or another. There were also some new kids that would pop up but they wrote different which wouldn't go well with older dudes or they would bruise their ego when criticized or given feedback that wasn't borderline dick riding so they left. I think we failed at figuring out what gets shit active to younger dudes and would keep their attention. RB to me was meant to be the most popular just off the name alone but we lacked the vision to make the site itself matter where ever it was supposed to.
