Introduction
Known As Dope II and new EFL
Welcome to the 5th edition of the Front Lines Magazine and the Introduction to this phenomena. We have had some problems with the voting and ability to setup battles so please be patient if you still continue to have those problems, which I doubt by now because strobe has informed me that all problems were fixed...so continue doing what you do. BUT...one way you can help is by reporting what you can do and what you can't do to any admins. Also, the Front Lines Tournament aka Known as Dope II will be starting next week (May 7th, 2007). So everyone please keep an open eye for your battles because if I'am not able to get our own forum I will be setting them all up in the Front Lines forum themselves, but still no need to worry because they will not be polled so there's nothing to lose and everything to gain. In other news, the new Topical Battles forum is picking up a little more...however, with the inability to setup battles and vote on them it's keeping the forum from it's full potential. Tim's reign as the most dominate topical battle champ in FL history was finally slowed to an end last week when he lost to Crost Over, and wyte boy. has successfully defended his title this past week with Constance giving up his title shot claiming he was too rusty for the championship shot. There, of course, will be new audio interviews this mag as well as updates on all the past battles from weeks 16-20 in text. There is also a seperate edition of the mag for Topical Battles with a few things that are different. Keep battling and if anything....if you can't vote or setup battles REPORT them to an admin so we can get more initiative to get this problem fixed if it hasn't for some damn reason already been fixed for you.
Text Championship Battle Reviews
Week 17: B.Nesse vs. dj...
B.Nesse continued her title run coming up against dj... in Week 17. Nesse dropped a verse that would've probably pooed on anything that dj... would've or could've dropped. Either way, he no showed with no reason given except my assumptions which were presented one sentence ago...he just knew he couldn't beat it. Nesse had a few good personals here and there and the usually wit that comes with her verses as she is becoming one of the most memorable chamions to grace Front Lines.
Winner - B.Nesse
Battle Rating: 3/10
Week 18: B.Nesse vs. Quest.
A pretty up and down battle at the very beginning but towards the end voters started to slide close towards B.Nesse whether than Quest.. Quest. dropped a pretty good verse for the most part with some good punches and concepts in there, but it seemed to lack in the consistency department so not all of his verse was hard hitting. Nesse came with a more formidable approach but not as good as the verse she had for dj... in the previous week, but it was definately good enough to take the win. Nesse usually tosses in a few good metaphorical punches at her opponent to drag them down as well as some witty concepts she just needs a bit more work in how she uses them. However, all in all in the end B. Nesse won this battle, but would later end her reign as the champion by forfeiting the title for the next challengers to take over.

Week 19: wyte boy. vs. dj...
This was definately one of the better championship battles that I've seen in awhile. Symphonic aka wyte boy. finally got a shot at the title and took full advantage of it after B.Nesse's departure. Symph. came with a mostly good verse with good concepts, and all around nice consistency as well. Both dropped good punches back and forth, and honestly both had pretty damn good concepts for their verses as well. However, voters saw that wyte boy. came more consistent with his verse and that he did. Symphonic takes over the helm as Front Lines Champion and will try to continue his reign throughout the next few weeks to see if he can handle the pressure other champions have had to face as well.
Winner - wyte boy.

Week 20: wyte boy. vs. Constance
Nothing much from this battle at all honestly. Constance PMed me a day before the battle claiming he was too rusty to text battle in the championship and said he would most likely not be able to show...and that he did. Wyte boy. successfully defended his first title defense and will continue onward to week 21...how will he fair? That's for him to decide and for his future opponents to handle.
Winner - wyte boy.

New heads on the list...and familiar faces
Now this right here is a rather unique take on Front Lines from my point of view...these are the power rankings...much like in the N.F.L. I take the top 10 individuals from the Contendership rankings IN MY EYES...and rate them by my own rankings...soooooo...
10. The Smokesta

9. Mr.Write
Write may have inched up in the rankings from last time, but I can say he's getting better and he's just about in the same boat as Bezerk. os. Somehow, he's climbing up the rankings and no one can give a real explanation as to why except the fact that he's winning...and that's all that matters. All Write needs a few more wins under his belt against heads that are well known to get his rep up and a little bit of work is still needed concept wise...other than that. Write is becoming one of the faces of the Front Lines here recently and I can see him becoming more than that with a dedication to writing text battles but staying on track with his topicals as well.
8. Bezerk.
Berzerk aka Theory has hit the top ten rankings for the FL power rankings for the first time or the first time in along time. Usually an avid topical battler, Berzerk wanted to take another shot at text battling and he's been moving up the rankings at a pretty good pace. Sadly, due to recent shit and problems in FL it has slowed him down...and not only him it really effected alot of other people...keep an eye on him though..if he keeps at it he'll be up near the top soon.
7. .kid sick
Kid sick is one of those people that could easily take out anyone before him on this list if he tried to his full potential....so why is he #7??...it's quite simple...FL hasn't been allowing anyone to do shit...if kid had more battles under his belt...he'd give everyone on the rankings a hard time...including some on this top ten list...and he'd be taking out whomever the champ is at the time on pretty much a weekly basis while holding the Front Lines title...till then...all anyone needs to know...is that he'll poop in your soup and make you eat every bit of it....he comes with wit, creativity, and nothing else to really bitch about except he just needs more wins under his belt...a tad more consistency in his verses....that simple.
6. Licorice
Licorice has spurred into the rankings due to his recent activity in the Front Lines battle area...and he doesnt hold many losses at all...and he has a decent amount of wins...as a matter of fact...I think the guy just doesnt report some of his battles that close...therefore...he's alot lower in the rankings than he should be...either way...Licorice comes with wit, wordplay...he just need much much more work on consistency...matter of fact...if he were more consistent...he'd do quite well in the Front Lines...until then...he'll sit here with a fat number 6 beside his name to date.
5. -Coop-
Coop is becoming more popular the longer he sticks around. Battling it out for the Jr. Season championship and climbing up the FL rankings at a good pace he's becoming a force to reckon with as time passes. Coop usually comes fresh in most of his battles and only needs a little bit of work in his concepts. I believe he also just recently joined the SAP league where he has great potential to be a threat as a championship contender and as a champion.
4. Alphabetized
Alpha may have dropped a little in the overall rankings but he continues to do his thing for the most part he's just inconsistent in the Front Lines. Alpha for the most part hits with hard punches and actually has a few laugh out loud punches in his verses in some cases. If he keeps brushing up on his skills and traits Alpha will definately be a heavy weight contender in not only text battling in FL but all across RB as he also just recently won the LLL Jr. season championship.
3. (E)=m(C)2
This slut's finally popped up on my top ten list...albiet I think he can go up higher. E = mc comes for the most part with great concepts...and now he's halfway to getting a shot at the title....however..this guy still isn't quite there...as he needs some work on wit...but once he gets that down pat....he's got something good in his hands...till then...E may just be one of those guys that gets a title shot....be sure to keep an eye on him...I'm confident he'll climb up the rankings more and more in the next few weeks, but that's really dependant on him and how far he'll go to better himself in the run for the championship.

If Meks battled more in the FL he'd have title shots coming at him week after week...however the only reason he isn't higher in the rankings is because he is doing well he just doesn't battle too much in FL...most likely because he concentrates on other stuff as well...and with that said...why not let him do what he wants right? WRONG...this guy could have so many titles and bragging rights thrown his way he'd shit himself a brick house to live in...or he could just use all the gold from the belts he could get if he were more determined to just make a gold house.

Current FL Champ...what can I say. The guy climbed his way up and has worked all the way to the top nonstop. Wyte boy aka Symphonic has successfully defended the title once since he first started his title reign and I see him climbing up higher and higher until someone worthy can catchup to him in the ranks....which may take awhile.

Final Thoughts
Well it's quite obvious RB is growing larger and larger....ABL, SAP, LLL, SS, IE, and every other league in existence brings alot of kats to this board. And yes...I lost my LLL Season Champ much...to those of you who are gay enough to bring it up...keep in mind I got there..you didn't and most likely haven't and never will. I will say congratulations to Born To Kill once again....and the only reason I didn't feel your verse honestly is because I thought the personals against me were....well...old. But...who wants SmokaJoka...possibly one of the most hated or loved to champ a league? me...lol. Also...I recently got a PM from Gestures where he wanted to report me for closing a battle he was being a fucking idiot in...for some reason I guess he thinks he can threaten me by telling me Feeble said he hates me, Emerge said I'm annoying, and Kris can't stand me. Well...I pretty much already know this...lol...so stating the obvious and thinking reporting me to an admin that may dislike me...well..what I'm getting to is...they won't change thir mind because I made a fair decision. I don't give admins a hard time unless stupid shit happens...and I know I have a problem with keeping my thoughts to myself...but fuck it....it's the internet...I'll say whatever the fuck I want whenever the fuck I want...and if you don't like it..then cool.
